Earlier, there was a feud created between the two brothers, Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani. However, with time, they have resolved the dispute and have become each other's strengths. For instance, in 2019, Anil was given a deadline to pay his dues of around Rs 460 crores to RCom's operational creditor, Ericsson. It was then his brother, Mukesh, who came forward to help him. Mukesh paid Anil's dues from his personal wealth, and Anil was touched by this gesture of his brother. In a statement from Reliance Communications, Anil had said:
“My sincere and heartfelt thanks to my respected elder brother, Mukesh, and Nita, for standing by me during these trying times, and demonstrating the importance of staying true to our strong family values by extending this timely support. I and my family are grateful we have moved beyond the past, and are deeply grateful and touched with this gesture."
For the unversed, the Dhirubhai Ambani Memorial inauguration ceremony was a family reunion in Chorwad after a hiatus of 15 years. Before this, they had visited the place in 1996 when the family organised a grand feast for the villagers.
