Dressed in burgundy colour saree draped in bunt style around her, Shilpa looked absolutely stunning. Designed by Tarun Tahiliani, the saree was embellished with Swarvoski crystals. She wore gold jewellery for headgear and other ornaments. Gold also found a place in her hair decoration. She wore a mix of silver and gold jewellery with studded stones like emeralds and sapphires.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Amidst a lot of fanfare and heartburn, the most prolific wedding between Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took place. Touted as the most beautiful woman to walk on earth, Aishwarya looked mesmerizing in her typical Manglorean outfit accentuating her rich tradition. A Neeta Lulla make, Aishwarya wore a golden yellow Kanjeevaram embedded with Sworvski crystals and pure gold threads. Her braided hair was decorated with flowers and 22 Karat gold jewellery. Karisma Kapoor
A much-publicized wedding affair of the decade was Karisma Kapoor’s wedding to childhood friend and Delhi-businessman Sanjay Kapur. Karisma wore a Manish Malhotra-designed crystals-encrusted shell pink lehenga choli, and festooned in glittering diamond jewellery and diamond-coated sandals. White silver and diamond dominated her wedding jewellery ensemble.
