Uorfi Javed Lands In Trouble Over Her Misleading Arrest Video, Mumbai Police Files Case Against Her

Popular actress, Uorfi Javed landed into legal trouble as the Mumbai police registered a case against her and others, who were involved in her fake arrest video.

Uorfi Javed is a well-known television and social media personality. She often hits the headlines for her bold and unapologetic attitude. Moreover, Uorfi is popular for her unique sartorial choices, and she often makes heads turn with her public appearances. Every now and then, the diva gets spotted flaunting her DIY outfits. However, Uorfi often receives backlash on the internet for her choice of clothes. Recently, a video of Uorfi getting arrested for her outfit went viral on the internet. And now, the Mumbai police have reacted to the same.

Uorfi Javed reveals she was arrested by the fashion police and not Mumbai police

On November 3, 2023, Uorfi Javed took to her Instagram story and posted a picture of herself. The picture also featured two women and a man dressed in police officer costumes. For the unversed, they were the same people who were seen arresting the actress in the viral video. On the other hand, Uorfi can be seen adjusting her hand accessories. Sharing the picture, the actress revealed that her viral video was for a campaign shoot. In her words:

"Arrested by the fashion police guys this was a campaign shoot for @freakinsindia."

Uorfi also dropped a video of herself on her IG handle. In the video, the actress can be seen posing for the camera inside a jail. Moreover, she looked beautiful in her quirky ensembles. However, it was her caption that caught everyone's attention. Sharing the video, Uorfi revealed that she was arrested by the fashion police and penned:

"Arrested by the fashion police for my fierce fashion game, but nothing can stop me! Excited to announce FREAKIN' UORFICATION my collection launch with @Freakinsindia."

Mumbai police files a case against Uorfi Javed

Soon after Uorfi's arrest video went viral on the internet, Mumbai Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Krishnakant Upadhyay, in an interview with India Today, mentioned that no such arrest has been made. A few hours ago, the official Instagram handle of the Mumbai police dropped a snippet of the viral video and revealed that a case has been registered against all who were involved in the fake video. Mumbai police have filed a case at the Oshiwara police station and booked everyone involved in the video under sections 171, 419, 500, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

When Uorfi's viral arrest video went viral

In the early morning of November 3, 2023, a video of Uorfi went viral on the internet. In the video, the diva could be seen arriving at a restaurant. She even posed for the paps and engaged in a fun chit-chat session with them. For her day out, Uorfi donned a red-coloured heart-shaped backless top, which she teamed with flared jeans. However, it was the presence of police in the viral video that caught everyone's attention. In the glimpses, police could be seen arriving at the scene and asking Uorfi to accompany them to the police station.
