Uorfi Javed recently lashed out at a celebrity manager for bullying her online by passing lewd remarks and comparing her to a girl undressing on the road.
Actress and former Bigg Boss OTT contestant, Uorfi Javed has garnered a name for herself through sheer grit and determination. Despite being subjected to heavy trolling, Uorfi has never let the hate stop her from expressing herself, be it through her unique style statement or bold remarks. Not only that, Uorfi has also become known for hitting back at anyone who tries to disrespect her. Most recently, she called out celebrity manager, Sonu Lakhwani for taking a lewd dig at her on social media.
Uorfi Javed, who is known for never staying silent when someone disrespects her, recently took to her Instagram story to lash out at celebrity manager, Sonu Lakhwani. The latter had tagged Uorfi in a comment on a video of a girl undressing on the road, comparing the two as he wrote, "New competition for Uorfi?"
Well, his comment didn't go down well with Uorfi, who replied to his comment, writing, "Tera ek per kabar mein hai, meri fikar chodo dadaji." Not only that, she reposted a screenshot of his profile and his comment to her Instagram story and penned a long note that read:
"So apparently this man has a lot of pictures with celebrities, his bio says some talent management but guess what uncle's an online bully. Randomly comparing me to some girl getting undressed on roads. It's ok you can make fun of me, degrade me, bully me but you TAGGED me so I guess you were looking for me to answer you back! Just wondering do you also make make lewd online comments on celebrities you work with? Just asking."
Sonu Lakhwani's Instagram bio revealed that he has been working in artist and sports management for the past 25 years. His profile featured pictures and videos of several Bollywood bigwigs like, Hrithik Roshan, Virat Kohli, Malaika Arora, Kartik Aaryan, and Jacqueline Fernandez, among others.
During a shoot for an episode of Samay's India's Got Latent, degrading comments about Uorfi were passed in the guise of a roast. While Uorfi and other guests arriving at the show are prepared to take in whatever remarks are made at them, given that the show itself is based on bashing others for fun, the roast escalated this time.
One contestant allegedly compared Uorfi to an adult star and asked inappropriate questions about her personal life, such as asking for her 'body count.' While this was bad enough, another contestant reportedly used abusive language, further aggravating Uorfi. To make matters worse, the host, Samay Raina, failed to intervene, leaving the actress feeling invalidated and disrespected. Uorfi was just not having it and decided to walk out of Samay's show midway.
Uorfi then took to her Instagram handle to address the incident. Her scathing remarks were directed at those who consider themselves 'cool' for insulting and slut-shaming women to garner momentary laughter and some views. Uorfi's story read:
"I think I missed the memo; nowadays people think it's cool to abuse someone or just slut-shame someone for some views. I'm sorry, but I'm not okay with anyone abusing me, slut-shaming me for my body counts (which they don't know but assumed it must be high). All this for what? For 2 mins of fame?"
