Bollywood actress, Urmila Matondkar was the heroine of every hit '90s film. She is still remembered as the gorgeous girl on the silver screen, had captivated the hearts of every man and woman who wanted to copy her jaw-dropping looks. However, the gorgeousness had left her illustrious acting career behind after tied the knot with Mohsin Akhtar on March 3, 2016.
For the unversed, Urmila had met Mohsin at designer Manish Malhotra's niece, Ridhi Malhotra's wedding ceremony in 2014. It took Mohsin over a year to woo Urmila with his charms, and he had got successful in the end. The duo often shares adorable glimpses of their marital life with their fans on their IG feeds.

Recently, in an interview with The Times of India, Urmila opened up on embracing motherhood. The gorgeous actress revealed that she is looking forward to welcoming it. However, if it happens, it happens. She also shared her thoughts on adoption. She said:
"Yes and no. If it happens, it happens. I’m not looking forward to it nor am I ‘not looking forward’ to it. It’s not necessary for every woman to be a mother. Motherhood should happen for the right reason. I love children. But there are so many children out there who need our love and care. It’s not necessary that they be born from you."
In the same interview, Urmila further opened up on leaving her acting career after marriage. The actress said that she has not given up, but life comes in different phases, and she believes in living it all. She said she wanted to experience every moment of being a married woman. She shared:
"I didn’t give it up. Life comes in different phases. I believe in living up to each phase. When I got married, I wanted to enjoy that. I don’t believe life is a one-track episode. I see it as multi-faceted. I want to experience everything to the fullest. Films have been the best part of me. But it’s not the end of me and my life. I’ve a great body of work behind me. So, I need to feel excited enough about a project to take it up."

Talking about how she is as a wife, Urmila revealed that she is a chilled-out person. She further added that she let few people enter her life, and they became a forever part of her journey.
On the work front, Urmila Matondkar joined the Indian National Congress in 2019.
