There are reports that Urmila parted ways with her husband, Mohsin Akhtar Mir, at the age of 34, but eight years after getting married to him, their love story came to an abrupt end.
It is also reported that Urmila and Mohsin's separation is not amicable, as the actress unfollowed her husband from her social media handle, Instagram, while he continues to follow her. Talking about her assets, Urmila declared her assets in an affidavit in 2019, which includes diamond jewellery worth Rs. 1.27 crore, gold coins worth Rs. 1.48 lakh, and gold jewellery worth Rs. 17.65 lakh. She also owns a commercial property worth Rs. 2 crore and three residential flats. Apart from this, Urmila also owns a farm worth Rs. 60 lakh.
Mohsin is a businessman from Kashmir. According to a report in Times Now, his net worth is Rs. 32.65 crore. The report also claims that he has furniture and other assets in his home worth Rs. 5 lakh. Urmila has furniture and other assets worth Rs. 33 lakh. Mohsin also owns a property worth Rs. 30 lakh in Mumbai's Meera Road.
A report in the Hindustan Times claimed that Urmila Matondkar has filed for divorce from her husband, Mohsin Akhtar Mir. It is also to be noted that the divorce isn't mutual. A source close to the actress revealed that Urmila decided to end her marriage with Mohsin, which comes as a shock for the nation. However, the reason behind their separation is not yet known.
For those who don't know, Urmila and Moshin have an age gap of ten years. Their marriage also gained a lot of attention because it was an inter-faith union. While Urmila is a Hindu, Mohsin is a Muslim. The couple got married in an intimate wedding at Urmila's residence in 2016. They first had a Hindu wedding, followed by a nikah. After wedding, Urmila shared her statement in the media, which could be read as:
“We kept it an exclusive wedding with just family and friends at the celebration. Since our families wanted the wedding to be a low-key affair. We mutually decided to keep it private. We seek your blessings on embarking on this new journey of our lives.”
