We are in the tenth month since 2020 became the year of dreaded lockdowns. For a few months, half of the world was stopped, thanks to the strange virus that is capable of taking the lives away. In December 2019, a new infectious respiratory disease had emerged in Wuhan, Hubei province, China and was named by the World Health Organization as COVID-19. Within a few months, it had travelled across the world. While we all have accepted the 'new normal', the COVID-19 positive cases are increasing every hour. No one knows when we will be free from it. A week ago, television actress, Urvashi Dholakia had informed her fans that she was diagnosed with Coronavirus 25 days ago, and now she is a lot better. In a long note, which she shared on her Instagram handle, the actress had shared that the reason for not informing her followers was because she had to fight the COVID-19 alone. And now, she is much better and thriving with positive energy.
Recently, in an interview with ETimes, Urvashi opened up on how difficult it was to quarantine herself at home. She said, "My struggle was more mental because my mother is 84 and I have my two boys, too. The question was how do I isolate myself in the same house, considering we are so close. While this was mentally draining, physically, I had good and bad days."
Urvashi further shared that it wasn't easy to stay away from her kids, "I am paranoid and still don’t want to go near my mother. The phase has made me a little more conscious than I already was. I had also lost my sense of taste and smell and was happy when I could taste my cup of tea again. I love solitude, but this time around, it wasn’t by choice. It was heartbreaking to have my sons talk to me from a distance and keep my pet away from me for 14 days." In an interview with Pinkvilla, Urvashi had opened up on her sons' growing up years and how she wasn't able to enjoy that time as she hardly saw them. The actress had shared, "Unfortunately, that is something that did come to my mind that I had barely been able to give them any time, and because of that, I had to send them to the boarding school. I had no other choice. I was never happy with the decision of sending them away. It put me under a massive depression but on the other hand, I had to do it for their future."
