Urvashi Rautela finally reacted to the trolling she received for the alligator necklace she wore on day one at the Cannes 2023.
Bollywood actress, Urvashi Rautela is currently leading all the headlines as she has stunned the internet with her exclusive fashion at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. The actress turned all the heads with her three gorgeous gowns, statement alligator necklace, and blue pout as she graced the red carpet of Cannes. Although she received a lot of appreciation from her fans, some were not that impressed with her unique choices, which brought her under the target of trolls. Now finally, the actress has reacted to such trolls.
In a recent interview with Brut India, Urvashi Rautela talked about the trolling she received revolving around her alligator necklace. Few reports suggested that the unique neckpiece comes with a whopping price of Rs. 200 crores. The alligator neckpiece is made of gold and also featured diamonds and emeralds. However, not only the exclusive necklace is expensive, but it also has a history. Now such history behind such an iconic necklace is revealed by the actress herself.

While talking about the trolling she received for the same neckpiece, Urvashi Rautela shared that people are writing bizarre comments about it without proper knowledge. Urvashi shared that if people knew the actual history of the necklace, they would instantly fall in love with it. Then while revealing the history behind the alligator necklace, the actress shared that it was worn by Monica Bellucci back in 2006 at Cannes, about which even Urvashi had no idea. Reflecting on the same, Urvashi Rautela shared that:
"People, who don't have the right information, those are the people who are writing bizarre comments about it. But people, who know about the history of that jewellery, it is such an iconic piece, they will absolutely fall in love with the crocodile neckpiece. Actually, it is a very iconic piece...You actually have to read about it. It is very historic. In fact, I wasn't aware of this, but I got to know that it was worn by Monica Bellucci back in 2006 at Cannes. I had absolutely no idea about it."
For the unversed, the French brand, Cartier designed the exclusive alligator necklace. As per the 2018 reports from Forbes, one of the two intertwined crocodiles of the necklace is crafted in 18-karat yellow gold and more than 1,000 fancy intense diamonds of 60.02 carats. And another one comes with 18-karat white gold featuring 66.86 carats of emeralds. As per the reports, Italian actress, Monica Bellucci wore the exclusive piece twice. The original piece was worn by her at Cannes in 2006, while the other version she wore at the 2019 Cannes.

For her day one appearance at Cannes 2023, Urvashi Rautela opted for a strapless tulle gown. The enormous gown featured a sparkling pink bodice and tiered layers of floral ruffles, which made it more appealing. The actress looked amazing as she gracefully carried the gown. Undoubtedly, the actress looked stunning and spread a pure Barbie vibe with her appearance. However, what grabbed the eyeballs of the netizens was her unique necklace.
