Vahbiz Dorabjee is back on the small screen, and she is owing the spotlight once again. After a long hiatus from television, Vahbiz has made a thrilling return, playing a negative role in the new Star Plus soap, Deewaniyat. This comeback marks the actress’ official return to showbiz after seven long years. Talking about the same, Vahbiz credited her parents for encouraging her to return to acting through their unwavering support.

In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, Vahbiz recalled her parents’ support that motivated her to start another exciting chapter in her career after a seven-year hiatus. Before her break from the screen, Vahbiz had become a prominent actress for her versatile acting and praiseworthy work in Bahu Humari Rajnikant and Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani. The actress credits her parents as her ultimate cheerleaders who motivated her to return to television. She shared:

“My parents have always been my biggest supporters since the very beginning of my career. I started when I was 17, and both my mom and dad have been my pillars of strength. When I told them about doing this show (Deewaniyat), they were incredibly happy and genuinely excited to see me back on screen.”

Further in the interview, Vahbiz reflected on her new role, describing it as a contrast to her past performances. This time, she plays a negative lead in the show under a top-tier production house, making it a special experience for her. She remarked:

“It had been a very long break, so naturally, I was thrilled to make my comeback, especially since the role itself was so exciting. Playing a negative lead for a reputable production house and an amazing channel like Star Plus made it even more special. I was genuinely excited to return to the screen."

One of the standout moments from the interview was when Vahbiz reflected on the lessons instilled by her parents. The actress acknowledged the immense support and encouragement that she received from her parents during her break. When she signed up for Deewaniyat, her parents were over the moon in happiness of seeing their daughter on the screen once again. Vahbiz shared:

“They were incredibly supportive and encouraged me, saying it was great that I signed this project because they had been missing seeing me on screen… My parents have always taught me the value of hard work and the importance of achieving everything through my own merit, which has been a guiding principle in my journey.”

Despite her break from television, Vahbiz Dorabjee has remained in the public eye, though not always for the most favourable reasons. The actress was previously married to her Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahani co-star, Vivian Dsena. The couple tied the knot in 2013 but separated in 2017, with their divorce being finalized in 2021. Shortly after, in 2022, Vahbiz married journalist Nouran Aly. With her thrilling comeback, it seems that Vahbiz’s acting journey is just beginning.
