Vaibhavi Upadhyaya's sudden death left everyone shocked. For the unversed, Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai fame, Vaibhavi Upadhyaya bid farewell to the world in a car accident on May 23, 2023. As per the reports, she was heading towards Himachal Pradesh with her fiance, Jay Gandhi when their car faced an accident which led to Vaibhavi's demise. However, reports claimed Vaibhavi's fiance, Jay survived the accident with major injuries. Earlier in an interview, Jay opened up and slammed the reports that claimed Vaibhavi was not wearing a seatbelt. Taking to his IG handle, Jay dropped a picture with Vaibhavi. He also penned a heartwrenching note to his late fiance.
Taking to his social media handle, Jay Gandhi dropped an unseen picture with Vaibhavi. In the picture, we can see the then lovebirds looking at each other adorably as they were decked up for some occasion. Sharing the picture, Jay penned an emotional note. In the note, he shared the pain he has been bearing in his heart with the demise of the love of his life. He wrote that the special memories they shared would always bring a smile to his face. He shared that if he could have another moment with her, he would sit beside Vaibhavi to talk to her. Further in the note, he shared that Vaibhavi would always be in his heart. He also shared a picture of Vaibhavi in his IG story. Jay's note can be read as:
"UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN….Those special memories of you will always bring a smile. If only I could have you back for just a little while, then we could sit and talk again just like we used to do. You always meant so very much and always will do too. The fact that you are no longer here will always cause me pain, but you are forever in my heart UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN….R I P my love."

Earlier in an interview with ETimes, after the sudden demise of Vaibhavi, Jay shared that although he was not in a condition to talk, he requested people to stop assuming that he and Vaibhavi were not wearing seatbelts or speeding up their car. Jay could be quoted saying:
"There is a notion that you speed on road trips, but that was not the case. Our car was standing still and waiting for the truck to pass. I am not in a state to talk much, but I wanted to ensure that don’t assume that we were not wearing seat belts or were speeding."

Earlier in an interview with ETimes, Vaibhavi Upadhyaya's brother, Ankit Upadhyaya shared the details about the accident that took the former's life. He shared that Vaibhavi and Jay planned a trip from Mumbai to Kullu and started their journey on May 15, 2023. Ankit shared that the duo came across the accident in Banjar.
Now sharing the details about how the accident happened, Vaibhavi Upadhyaya's brother, Ankit, in the same interview, shared that the lane where the accident happened was narrow in space. Therefore, heavy vehicles kept going up and down. Ankit told ETimes that Jay and Vaibhavi saw a heavy dumper truck passing, and they stopped and waited, but unfortunately, the rare end of the truck hit the car, and it slipped into the valley. Ankit shared that Vaibhavi was thrown out of the car, causing the demise of the young actress.
The demise of the young actress is certainly as shocking and heartwrenching to the entire entertainment industry.
