The date is fixed for one of the most important days of your life, your wedding day. And it is on the most romantic day in the calendar without a doubt, Valentine’s Day. The next step is the planning. What goes into planning a wedding on any day of the year is what is needed mostly. The important thing, when your wedding is fixed for Valentine’s Day, is to act fast.
Book a Venue
You may not be the only couple thought of tying the knot on Valentine’s Day. There is not minute to waste. Start by scouting some venues if you don’t already have one in mind. And once you zero in on a place, book is as soon as possible.
The Invite List
Draw up a list of people with whom you would like to share your special day. This could mean single friends and friends who are dating. It would be a thoughtful gesture to include their girlfriends and boyfriends on your wedding list. Just like you, they would want to celebrate V Day with their sweethearts. As for your single friends, don’t forget to seat them next to someone interesting on the wedding day, so that they don’t feel left out.
Décor
Red and white screams Valentine’s Day like no other colors. If you like something milder then red, go with pink. However, don’t overdo it as too much pink can make the event quite childish. You can maybe include a statue of Venus, The Goddess of Love. Place it in a small pond with rose petals floating around. Candles lit around the venue will increase the romance quotient of the venue.
Food to Serve
A heart shaped wedding cake made with chocolate is decadent and lovely. Serve drinks that are colored pink and red like cranberry margaritas or red wine. Speak to your caterers and see if they can serve appetizers and other dishes shaped like a heart. Include aphrodisiacs on your menu. Strawberries would make a great addition. Simply serve some chopped strawberries in a tall wine glass topped with whipped cream.
Hire a Wedding Planner
If you can’t put in that much of work, hire a wedding planner. They are used to working with themes and will know exactly what to bring in make your special day just right. And voila! Before you know it your Valentine’s Day wedding is picture perfect with love all around!
