Varun Badola first time talked about people thinking that he was having an affair with Sangita Gosh while shooting for 'Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand'.
Varun Badola and Sangita Gosh's Star Plus show, Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, was one of the superhit shows that left millions of Indians falling in love with the main characters. The show aired on television from 2001 to 2005. The interesting part of the show was that Varun and Sangita created a sizzling chemistry with their stares, hugs, and glances. However, many thought that they were in a relationship. After so many years, Varun finally talked about it.
Recently, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Varun Badola revealed that everyone loved their chemistry. However, the channel asked them to tone down their chemistry as it was a prime-time show. Varun further credited Sangita and himself for their on-screen chemistry and stated that she made him comfortable on the first day of the shoot in London. Varun also addressed the rumours of him having an affair with Sangita.

Talking about the same, Varun denied all such murmurs and revealed that he was married to actress Rajeshwari Sachdev. However, his fans thought that he was married to Sangita Ghosh and that they had a real wedding in the show. He also narrated an incident when he visited a fan's house as part of a contest, and he gifted him a portrait of Sangita, assuming they were married.
Siddharth further probed Varun if he ever fell in love with Sangita. To which Varun simply denied it and stated that if they had fallen in love, they would have taken it forward as everything was in his favour as they were the romantic couple of Indian television. He added that they would often party together and they were great friends. He was quoted as saying:
"Nahi hua tha, agar hua hota toh I had every opportunity to take it forward. Kyunki yaar sab kuch toh humare favour mein tha na. We were the romantic couple of Indian television. Or aisa nahi hum log party-wary karte the sath mein, ghumna firna hota tha. We were great friends."
