The upcoming film, Jigra, featuring, Alia Bhatt, will mark the debut of Bollywood star, Vedang Raina. In Jigra, Alia and Vedang will portray siblings, adding a compelling dynamic to their performances. Recently in an interview with Galatta India, the actor mentioned that Suhana Khan took the longest time to prepare on set of The Archies.

Vedang Raina shares that Suhana Khan took the most time to get ready on the set of The Archies

Vedang Raina shared his experience working with Suhana Khan, Shah Rukh Khan's daughter, on their debut OTT film, The Archies, during an open discussion with Galatta India. As Raina complimented Suhana on her warmth and kindness to everyone in her vicinity, he jokingly disclosed the one aspect of her that he could not stand. He joked that his co-star took the longest to get ready, spilling the beans on what went on the sets.

Vedang Raina on waiting 40 minutes for Suhana Khan's prep time on The Archies set

Vedang Raina mentioned that while the guys would take only 15 minutes to get ready, they often found themselves waiting 40 minutes just for Suhana. In his words, "The guys would take 15 minutes to get ready, and then you’d be waiting for 40 minutes just for Suhana." This playful delay added a lighthearted atmosphere to the set.

Vedang Raina clarifies Suhana Khan wasn't to blame for set disruptions due to Zoya Akhtar's film requirements

Vedang Raina expressed amazement at the number of disruptions caused by Suhana's hair and makeup crew during filming. Such interruption often led to unexpected moments of laughter and camaraderie on set.

Vedang Raina further recalled, “There were times when we’d be performing together, and someone would stop us saying, Oh wait, her hair is out of place". Still, the actor didn’t hesitate to clarify that Suhana wasn’t to blame for the disruptions because Zoya Akhtar’s film required touch-ups.

On the work front, Raina’s film, Jigra will be screened nationwide on October 11, 2024. Producer, Siddharth Anand said that Suhana is preparing for her big-screen debut with her father, Shah Rukh Khan, in Sujoy Ghosh’s action movie, King, which is scheduled for release in 2026.
