Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya's patriotic film, 'Sky Force', is having a decent run at the box. Amid that, the fees of film's star cast have been revealed that includes some surprising figures.
Veer Pahariya, who recently debuted with Akshay Kumar starrer Sky Force, has dominated the headlines for the past few days. He is the son of popular business tycoon, Sanjay Pahariya, and his mother, Smriti Shinde, owns a media company, Sobo Films, that has often kept him under the spotlight. In the film, Veer plays a role inspired by Squadron Leader Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya, who played a vital role in the 1965 Indo-Pak war. Recently, media reports have revealed the fees of the film's cast, and Veer's fees has left everyone surprised.
Akshay Kumar, who has delivered several memorable patriotic films at the box office, plays the role of an air force officer in Sky Force. The actor finally got some relief after delivering a string of flops at the box office as the film has crossed Rs. 40 crore within the first two days of its release. As per media reports, Akshay has emerged as the highest-paid actor in the film and took home a hefty fee of Rs. 70 crore.
Meanwhile, debutant, Veer Pahariya, who has emerged as the underdog in Sky Force, is the lowest-paid star in the patriot film. The young actor has reportedly earned Rs. 50 lakhs for his role. Interestingly, he spent three and a half years preparing for the film, and his hard work shined on the screen.
According to media reports, Sara Ali Khan, who plays the role of Veer's on-screen wife, has received a paycheck of Rs. 3 crore, 23 times less than Akshay Kumar's fees. Sky Force also marks the theatrical comeback of Sara after her 2023 release, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, with the same production house. Alongside Nimrat Kaur, who collaborated with Akshay after their successful film, Airlift has been paid Rs. 1 crore for the film. At the same time, Sharad Kelkar, known for his impactful performances, earned Rs. 70 lakh for his role in the film.
Sky Force is an action-drama film directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani. The film is based on India's first airstrike, the Sargodha airbase attack on Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965. It features a stellar cast, including Akshay Kumar, Nirmal Kaur, Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, Sharad Kelkar, Mohit Chauhan, and Varun Badola. The film was released on January 24, 2025, ahead of India's 76th Republic Day.
