The Italian luxury brand, Versace, appointed South Korea's boy band, Stray Kids Hyunjin as their global brand ambassador.
Hyunjin, a South Korean singer and member of the 4th generation band, Stray Kids, has been appointed as the newest global brand ambassador of the luxury brand Versace. With the ever-increasing craze for K-pop across the globe, it is the best time for the luxury brand to rope in a K-pop sensation as its brand ambassador.
The renowned Italian luxury brand Versace has established a reputation for its strong connections with celebrities. The recent appointment of Hyunjin as the global brand ambassador is expected to enhance its popularity even further. As part of his new role, Hyunjin will be shooting for Versace's Holiday 2023 campaign, set to release in November.

The Italian designer Donatella Versace, who is also the Artistic Director and Vice President of the luxury brand, talked about Hyunjin's confidence in an Instagram post uploaded on the brand's page. She said:
“I am delighted Hyunjin is joining the Versace family. I am constantly inspired by new voices defining culture around the world and for me Hyunjin has great new energy and creativity. I love his confidence and freedom of expression. He is a true Versace man.”
In the same post on Versace’s Instagram account, Hyunjin expressed his excitement to embark on this new journey. He said:
“I’m so excited to be starting my Versace journey as a global ambassador and to make beautiful moments together. I am both inspired and honored to play a part in the house’s truly amazing heritage, and that Donatella believes I have the Versace attitude. I’m filled with anticipation and can’t wait to experience the artistic synergy with her.”
Before the brand made its formal announcement to appoint him as the global ambassador, the Stray Kids member, Hyunjin was photographed at the Versace Pop-up store earlier this month.
Hyunjin had the opportunity to meet Troye Sivan, an Australian singer, during the unveiling of the Versace and Dua Lipa 'La Vacanza' collection in Cannes in May. With his new position as a global ambassador, Hyunjin is all set to work alongside Chris Lee, a Chinese singer, actress, and model who previously starred in the Versace Icons campaign with Anne Hathaway.

The Lollapalooza festival in Paris is set to kick off on July 21, 2023, with Stray Kids taking centre stage as they are going to perform the opening act. The K-pop band, Stray Kids consists of eight members, including Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, Hyunjin, and I.N. Hyunjin is a dancer, rapper, and vocalist. JYP Entertainment formed the group in 2017 through their namesake reality show. However, Woojin left the group in October 2019 due to personal reasons.
In January 2018, Stray Kids launched their first extended play titled Mixtape. In 2020, they came up with their debut studio album, Go Live, which turned out to be their first platinum-certified album. In 2021, the group released their second studio album, Noeasy, which became their first album to sell over a million copies.
The group recently launched their third studio album called 5-Star. They are also planning to go on their latest tour, the 5-Star Dome Tour, which starts on August 16, 2023, in Fukuoka, Japan. Stray Kids is scheduled to perform at the Lollapalooza music festival in Paris tomorrow and the Global Citizen Festival in New York in September.
The impact of K-pop on the luxury market has grown in recent years. After being confirmed as an ambassador for Celine in March 2023, BTS member V has now been selected as the brand ambassador for high-end jewellery brand Cartier.
Earlier this year, Jimin, his fellow bandmate, was selected as the latest ambassador for Tiffany & Co. Meanwhile, NCT's Taeyong was chosen as a global brand ambassador for Loewe's men's show for its Paris Fashion Week in spring 2024.
