Veteran actor, Vikram Gokhale made his Bollywood debut at the age of 26 in the film, Parwana in 1971. In his career spanning more than 40 years, he has given some back-to-back films, including Agneepath, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Mission Mangal, Hichki, Bang Bang, De Dana Dan, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Vikram Gokhale was last seen in the film, Nikamma which also starred Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Abhimanyu Dassani.
Sadly, Vikram Gokhale died on November 26, 2022, at the age of 77. The saddening news of veteran actor, Vikram Gokhale's demise has taken the entire nation by shock. While his family members are mourning the actor's loss, many Bollywood celebrities took to their social media handles and expressed their condolences.

Vikram Gokhale was admitted to a private hospital in critical condition after suffering from multi-organ failure. On November 25, 2022, he showed slow but steady improvement, so the doctors kept him on ventilator support for 48 hours. However, his health deteriorated, and in an unfortunate turn of events, Gokhale left for his heavenly abode at the age of 77. The veteran actor breathed his last in Pune on November 26, 2022.
On November 24, 2022, the shocking news of Vikram Gokhale's passing away was doing the rounds. However, in an interaction with the ETimes, his wife, Vrushali refuted the ongoing rumours and shared that her husband was still alive. Sharing the details about the same, she said that the actor was on the ventilator and he was not responding. In her words:
"He slipped into a coma yesterday afternoon and post that, he has not responded to touch. He is on a ventilator. Doctors will decide tomorrow morning what to do, depending on whether he's improving, sinking or still not responding."
In the same interview, Mrs Gokhale had also revealed that Vikram Gokhale was admitted to the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune on November 5, 2022, and he had been undergoing treatment for the last 14 days. She also said that her husband is not 82 years old as reported by the media. She added:
"He improved a bit but slipped again. He has had a host of issues, like in the heart and kidney. At the moment, he has had a multi-organ failure. Also, my husband is 77 and not 82 as being reported. My daughter from San Fransico has arrived. The other one has been right here in Pune, she lives in Mumbai."
