Death is an inevitable truth and for somebody, who has lost their closed ones will understand the pain it brings along. Nothing can fill in the void and we are just left with some unanswered questions. On June 14, 2020, when television channels had flashed the news of actor, Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, nobody could believe it. The reports of his suicide had come as a shock for his friends, family and fans. As the days had passed, his family and friends had denied to believe the suicide story narrated to them and had asked for a fair trial in his case. Sushant’s case was handed to the CBI with a lot of twists and turns making the case more complicated. But an alleged drug angle had changed the complete picture of the case and the arrest of Rhea Chakraborty’s brother, Showik Chakraborty for procuring drugs for his sister was the first nail in the coffin. On September 8, 2020, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had arrested Sushant's girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty under various charges of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Since then, a war of words had kickstarted between Sushant's warriors and Rhea's supporters.

On September 9, 2020, Ankita had shared an open letter on Sushant’s death. However, Rhea Chakraborty's friend and actor, Farhan Akhtar's girlfriend, Shibani Dandekar had slammed Ankita for not being able to handle her relationship with Sushant and for seeking '2-seconds of fame' by targeting Rhea. Well, it seems like, Shibani’s statement didn’t go down too well with Ankita’s current boyfriend, Vicky Jain, who came out in support of his ladylove. On September 11, 2020, Vicky took to his IG stories and without taking any names, shared a quote which can be read as “There’s a difference between being liked and being valued. A lot of people like you. Not many value you. Be valued.” Ankita reposted the same on her IG stories with an applause emoticon.

On September 10, 2020, Ankita Lokhande had taken to her IG handle and had given a befitting reply to Shibani Dandekar’s ‘2 seconds of fame’ comment. Her note could be read as ""2 seconds of fame" This phrase got me thinking today. Coming from a tier 2 city and belonging to a humble background, I had no fancy education to show for myself. I entered the television industry in the year 2004 with a show called Zee Cine Star Ke Khoj. But my real journey began in 2009 with the show "PAVITRA RISHTA" which went on till 2014. I would be doing an injustice if I don't mention that it was among one of the best shows for 6 consecutive years with the highest GEC TRP on television till date." (Also Read: Gabriella Demetriades And Arik Rampal's Sun-Kissed Candid Picture Speaks Volumes Of Mother-Son Love)

Ankita had further written about her Bollywood journey, "Fame is only a byproduct of the love and warmth that an actor receives from the masses. Along with all the viewers, I, too still feel connected to the character of "ARCHANA". Both, my fate and the people have been kind enough to me shower their blessings and love upon me. The aspiration of an actor trying to portray as many different roles and characters as possible, led me to explore. Luckily, I got the opportunity to work in Manikarnika as well as Baghi 3."

She had also slammed Shibani by asking her to stop looking down on television actors and had concluded her note as “To conclude, I have been an ACTOR in Television & Bollywood for the past 17 years & now, when I am trying to support justice for my late friend, a view has been expressed that I am seeking JUSTICE because I need 2 seconds of fame and cheap publicity! I cannot fathom as to why any person would take such a stand. Is it because I have worked mostly on television and not in Bollywood? Is that why you would take a stand for the person with whom you have had a relationship for almost a decade? Stop looking down on we television actors, if that was your reason for describing my words as 'GROTESQUE'. It takes an equal amount of hard work and dedication for the actors in the television industry as it would take in Bollywood. I am proud to be a television actor. And if not for anything, I shall always raise my voice for the people I love and care about." (Also Read: Jwala Gutta Gets Engaged To Beau Vishnu Vishal On Her Birthday, Actor Seeks Everyone's Blessings)
