Recently, a video of Vidya Balan from the late ghazal singer, Pankaj Udhas' residence went viral online. In the video, the actress looked deeply saddened as she came to offer prayers to the late singer. The diva was seen decked up in a white salwar suit, which she teamed with a sheen dupatta. No touch of makeup, tied-up hair, and a pair of glasses finalised her overall look. However, what irked the netizens was when one of Vidya's fan started clicking selfies with the actress despite her team trying to stop him. The fan didn't stop and continued to walk with Vidya while keeping his phone in his hand and trying to click selfies. It was Vidya who kept her calm and didn't react to the same.

There's no denying the fact that Pankaj Udhas' demise left everyone heartbroken. For the unversed, it was on February 26, 2024, when Pankaj Udhas breathed his last due to prolonged illness. Later, the late singer's family confirmed the news with a press statement, which was shared by his daughter, Nayaab Udhas. On February 27, 2024, the singer's last rites took place. Among other celebrities, Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan, and Sunil Gavaskar reached Pankaj Udhas' home to offer prayers.
Pankaj Udhas was a legendary ghazal singer, who won hearts with his melodious songs like Aur Ahista Kijiye Baatein, Chandi Jaisa Roop Hai Tera, and many more. However, at the age of 72, he left for his heavenly abode. In several videos that had gone viral from his last rites, the singer's wife, Farida, and their daughters, Nayaab Udhas and Reva Udhas looked in pain as they greeted the guests who came to offer their prayers to the singer.

In an interview with India Today, Pankaj Udhas' close friend and the legendary bhajan and ghazal singer, Anup Jalota opened up about the late singer's health issues. Anup stated that Pankaj had been suffering from pancreatic cancer. Anup said that he met Pankaj a few months ago, and the latter looked weak and thin, but he still continued to sing at the festival. Anup Jalota stated:
"I got to know about his cancer around six months back through a common doctor friend. He had pancreatic cancer. I was also told how the cancer was taking him away. I had met him a few months back and he looked weak, had lost weight but still sang at the festival. He later also called me to thank me for always supporting him. After that, whenever I tried to reach out to him, he never called back. That's when I knew that he was in terrible pain and we were going to lose him."
