Vignesh Shivan Deletes Twitter Account Amid His And Nayanthara's Legal Spat With Dhanush

Nayanthara's husband, Vignesh Shivan, has deactivated his Twitter account amid his wife's legal spat with Dhanush.

Nayanthara's husband, Vignesh Shivan, has reportedly deactivated his This came after the filmmaker took part in The Galatta Plus Mega Pan India Directors' Round Table 2024 . A highly prolific discussion of pan-India movies with directors took place. Reportedly, Vignesh's presence was questioned at the round table as his latest offering, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal , was not a pan-India project.

Vignesh has not issued an official statement. However, fans were upset with his presence at the high-table discussion. They noted that even his upcoming movie, Love Insurance Kompany , did not fall under the pan-India movie category, which made the netizens question the guest list for the roundtable.

Vignesh Shivan's presence on Instagram

The filmmaker has not deactivated or deleted his Instagram account and is still present there. It is interesting to note that the filmmaker received the backlash amid his wife, Nayanthara's legal fight with Dhanush. On November 16, 2024, the actress wrote a letter to the Tamil star and slammed him for denying an NOC to use content from their 2015 movie, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan . This was for her documentary titled Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale .

Nayanthara and Dhanush's legal tussle

Nayanthara, going further in her post, revealed during the making of her documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale , she had sought permission from Dhanush . This was related to the usage of clippings from their 2015 movie, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan . However, the actor denied the permission. She was sent a legal notice, where the actor demanded Rs. 10 crore for the damages. A part of Nayanthara's post read:

"This is an all-time low from you and speaks so much about your character. I wish you were half the person you portray to be on stage in audio launches in front of your innocent fans but clearly you do not practice what you preach, at least not for me and my partner."

Dhanush went to Madras High Court and pressed charges against Nayanthara.

Dhanush then filed a civil suit in the Madras High Court against the actress, Vignesh and Netflix for using unauthorized visuals in the documentary of the couple from  Naanum Rowdy Dhaan , which Dhanush produced. Nayanthara had also written an open letter to the Sir actor where she spoke about how she was declined the clippings from their movie, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan . In Nayanthara's words:

Vignesh Shivan supports Nayanthara

Vignesh who was also the director of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan came and supported his wife, the Lady Superstar. He slammed the controversial clip on his Instagram handle and made fun of Dhanush's legal notice. Vignesh's note could be read as:
