Rumours about Dear Comrade co-stars, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna being romantically involved have been spreading like wildfire for a while now. Not too long ago, Vijay had confirmed he was dating someone but refrained from revealing his partner's name. Rashmika, on the other hand, has never discussed her relationship status, but she has openly talked about the qualities she desires in a boyfriend. Well, it seems like fans of the couple might have to wait a little longer for the duo to confirm the relationship.
After Vijay Deverakonda publicly confirmed that he was in a relationship, further fuel was added to the ongoing speculations about his connection with Rashmika Mandanna. Well, the actor alluded to his relationship once again while tactfully avoiding mentioning any names. In a recent interaction with the Bombay Times, Vijay stated that he would divulge more details about his relationship once he was ready and felt the world needed to know. In Vijay's words:
"I will talk about it when I am ready, when I think that the world needs to know, and I want to share it with everyone. There needs to be a reason, a purpose and a time for it. So, on such a day, I will happily share it with the world in my way."
Vijay further added that curiosity about a public figure's personal life and romantic relationships was quite natural. However, he feels no pressure to address any speculations at the moment. Vijay can be quoted as saying:
"When you're a public figure, it's part of the job. There's a lot of curiosity, but I don't feel any pressure. I read it as news. Only once I felt the need to respond (hinting at the time when he posted an Instagram story reacting to a report about his wedding), but otherwise, it's alright."
For the uninitiated, Vijay is alluding to when reports about him marrying actress and co-star, Rashmika Mandanna were published earlier in 2024. The actor had taken to his Instagram story to clarify the unfounded speculations, firmly stating that he was neither getting engaged nor tying the knot. Later, in a conversation with Lifestyle Asia, Vijay said:
"I'm not getting engaged or married in February. It feels like the press just wants to get me married every two years. I hear this rumour every year. They're just walking around waiting to catch me and get me married."
In the chat with the Bombay Times, Vijay Deverakonda once again discussed the idea of unconditional love. The actor stated that he wasn't sure if such a love could exist, but if it did, it would bring sadness and pain in its wake. Vijay shared his thoughts on unconditional love during an early interaction with Curly Tales as well. The actor stated that he knew what it was to love and be loved. However, he didn't know much about unconditional love as he was the type to have expectations from his partner. Vijay further added that nowadays, everything is 'over-romanticised.' But he couldn't say if expecting unconditional love at all was right.
In his earlier chat with Curly Tales, Vijay Deverakonda was asked about his present and past relationships. Well, the actor dropped a huge bombshell when he confessed he was currently in a relationship. Vijay revealed his relationship status by jokingly saying, "I am 35 years old. You think I will be single?" While he didn't reveal the name of his lucky lady, the new information had rumours swirling about the mystery woman being Rashmika Mandanna.
