Vijay Devarakonda was a source of overnight fame for his role in Arjun Reddy. He has been one of the most loved stars of the South film industry, and he made his Bollywood debut with Liger. The actor did not receive a lot of love from his fans for the film in which he was seen opposite Ananya Panday. Liger was released in Hindi and Telugu, and the dubbed versions were released in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. A netizen recently shared how the actor's arroagant behaviour was washed out.
A Redditor shared that he or she works at one of the biggest brands of India. They wanted to take Vijay for a shoot since they were launching a product in Hyderabad. Liger was yet to release, and Vijay wanted the user's company to charge Rs. 3 cr for a day's shoot, to which the user said no. His managers started talking about how VD would be the biggest star in India after his Liger launch but attention was not given. Cut to 1 week after the release, Vijay's manager called saying Rs. 1.5 cr is what it is okay with. The user revealed it was funny as his arrogance was washed out in just one week. Anyway, the actor was not even selected for the launch. The Redditor then shared how Vijay was not allowed to enter a spa in the Maldives as he was not stopping to smoke. The user noted:
"There was a hotel in Maldives. He refused to stop smoking in the spa. He didn't care for the rules. Well, the staff didn't care for his arrogance. He had to be in the spa or leave."
One user on Reddit shared, "I started hating him after his statement saying I don't work with newcomer directors, I want them to be experienced and a few films old before they can work with me, like who do you think you are bro?" Another commented, "He just gives off pure Arjun reddy vibes like he seems to have the exact same personality." A user even noted, "Always got that arrogant vibe from this guy . Too much attitude. He's not even a big star. His career is also a flop. So now he's become irrelevant. At least should remain a bit humble."
One user remembered during the promotions of Liger when Vijay was everywhere and was Karan Johar's flavour of the month. The user did not even know this guy before. His arrogance was sky-high, especially when he put his feet up on a chair during an interview. Pride always come before a fall and what a great fall it was, shared the netizen. For the unversed, media people were upset with Vijay's behaviour where he was casually sitting in front of a journalist with his legs on the table. The actor did this as the journalist asked him that he had become a Bollywood star so would he talk to the media with comfort.
