The cult chat show, Koffee With Karan is infamous for bringing out the most candid side of our favourite Bollywood celebrities. It is because of this candidness that stars have often made confessions about who they are attracted to, on the show. On the second episode of Koffee With Karan season 7, Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor graced the Koffee couch. This time around, Karan Johar had asked his iconic question to Sara Ali Khan about who she would like to date.
To which, Sara Ali Khan had reluctantly named the South Indian superstar, Vijay Deverakonda and created a stir on the internet. Now, the actor, who is rumoured to be in a relationship with Rashmika Mandanna, revealed if he would actually like to date Sara Ali Khan in real life.

In an interview with the ETimes, Vijay Deverakonda was asked about his reaction to Sara Ali Khan’s wish to date him. Answering this, Vijay revealed that he did text Sara after learning about her sweet confession on national television. But, upon asking if he would date Sara in real life, the actor hinted that he cannot be in a relationship with her. Vijay can be quoted as saying:
“Okay, but I am a better actor. I texted her (Sara). It is so sweet of her to have said that. I can't even say the word 'relationship' well. How can I be in one?”
Earlier, Vijay Deverakonda is rumoured to be dating actress, Rashmika Mandanna. In an old interview with The Hyderabad Times, Vijay was asked whether he has found the love of his life or not. The actor revealed that even if he is in a relationship, he would prefer to keep it a secret and share it with his family and friends only. Talking about the same, he had said:
"No comments. Even if I was in a relationship, I would keep it a secret. What is the point of telling these things? It is no one's business. I would tell my parents and my friends too. I will reveal it to the world as well when it happens, but there is time for it. I don't want my life to become entertainment."

Episode 4 of the chat show, Koffee With Karan 7, had featured the South sensation, Vijay Deverakonda, and his Liger co-star, Ananya Panday. During the show, Ananya Panday dropped a major hint that Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are dating each other. During the rapid-fire round, when Ananya was asked to comment on Vijay's relationship status, she did a play on words and replied, "I feel like he is in a rush...to meet Mika...Singh. Get it." Soon, Ananya started to laugh, and Karan also understood the meaning behind the comment and said, "Oh, he is in a rush to meet Mika." Meanwhile, Vijay simply looked at Ananya and asked her, "You think that," and the latter nodded in affirmation.
