UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) is India's toughest examination due to its mere success rate of just 0.1 to 0.3 percent. Over 13 lakh students from different parts of the country appeared for the UPSC 2023 examination, out of which only 2,916 aspirants sat for the final round of the personality test. The statistics clearly speak volumes about how tough it is to crack UPSC and become a civil servant. Every year, lakhs of students appear in the UPSC examinations because they aim to contribute to society.
However, a civil servant's job comes with many benefits and perks. Job security, impressive income, allowances, pensions, childcare benefits, and work-life balance are some key benefits of being a civil servant. Over the years, we have seen different states produce IAS officers. However, Uttar Pradesh tops the list for giving the most civil servants in the country.
