Talking to Dainik Bhaskar on its YouTube channel, Vikrant stated that he received threats on WhatsApp. He further said that people know that he became a dad only 9 months ago, and also, his baby didn't learn to walk properly, but that little one was dragged into this. Vikrant remarked that he was concerned for Vardaan's safety. He mentioned that it's disheartening and not scary, or else they wouldn't have released the film in the first place. Vikrant could be quoted as saying:

"Mujhe mere social media, WhatsApp pe threat aa rahe hain. Yeh log jaante hain ki main 9 mahine pehle ek bacche ka pita bana hoon. Mera baccha jo theek se chal bhi nahi pata, uska naam beech mein liya ja raha hai. Uski suraksha ke liye mujhe chinta mein daala ja raha hai. Hum kis samaj mein jee rahe hain? Afsos hota hai, dar nahi lagta. Agar dar lagta, toh hum yeh film banake bahar laate hi nahi."
