Vikrant added that he was influenced by the chatter around nepotism and what everyone was saying about privileges. He also clarified that at one point, he thought Sara's priorities would be hair and makeup, and he later apologised to her for thinking that way. He was quoted as saying:
"Unfortunately, all of us have preconceived notions and there is a sense of understanding of, we’ve heard about it, nepotism and privilege. Especially in the last two or three years, it was right up there. Every conversation was about this. And I fell prey to that too! And a lot of what you end up believing also depends on the noise and people around you. A part of me did feel like, you know, star hai, popular star hai. I’m miles off the star circuit… Priorities shayad hair makeup hongi. I told her and I apologised."
However, as soon as Vikrant finished his sentence, Anupama asked Sara whether he had apologised to her. Sara instantly said that she didn't remember the apology. Sara further stated that she wasn't looking for an apology and was used to it, as there were preconceived notions about her.
As soon as the video was uploaded, netizens flooded the comments section, and noticed Vikrant's discomfort. One user wrote, "U know that self entitlement wala upward head tilt Of Sara is so Infuriating when vikrant starts to speak about pre convinced notions. Chitrangdha’s poker face is like she is watching walk of shame or something. But oddly isn’t feeling bad or good about it. Anupama talks softly but came in strong there was micro agression that spilled N almost humiliates him by asking him the way she did “why”. I can’t explain but can feel. Such micro confrontation Can really put someone in a shell."
Another one commented, "Oh I remember this. Sara being 'tu kaun hai, teri aukad kya hai' to Vikrant. This is what nepos do. Siddharth Chaturvedi also apologized to Ananya after how his comment about struggle went to troll her. As if they are greater than thou and how dare they!"
