Though it is difficult to say what we love the most about children, we would all agree on the fact that their innocence would definitely top the list. Needless to say, kids are the epitome of innocence and it is what makes everyone’s childhood the most endearing phase of their lives. With their untainted words and unbiased ideas, the child’s innocence is what the adults around them learn from and reminisce forever. Once Virat Kohli had recalled a hilarious yet cute incident when he was scolded by Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s daughter, Ziva Singh Dhoni and now that he himself is a father of a little angel, Vamika, it makes us wonder how adorable it would be when he would be in the same situation with her. (Also Read: When Sakshi Singh Dhoni Dedicated Her Tattoos To Mahendra Singh Dhoni And Daughter, Ziva Singh Dhoni)

It was in 2015 when Mahendra Singh Dhoni was preparing for the ICC World Cup and his wife, Sakshi Singh Dhoni had to contact his teammate-friend, Suresh Raina to inform about the birth of their daughter, Ziva Singh Dhoni. In January 2021, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had welcomed their first child, a daughter, Vamika and post the paternity leaves, the cricketer had resumed his professional commitments. Over the years, we have seen a couple of adorable moments of Virat and Ziva, and our favourite one was their conversation at Dhoni’s Ranchi home. Sharing a video with Ziva in 2017, Virat had written, “My reunion with Ziva. What a blessing it is to be around pure innocence.”

In a throwback interview with a leading media portal, Virat Kohli had recalled why he was once scolded by Ziva Singh Dhoni for an hour. Revealing that Ziva had scolded her father, Mahendra Singh Dhoni too, when he had supported Virat for that incident, the cricketer had said, “Ziva is just like Dhoni Bhai, she speaks everything from the heart and once I took a bread slice from Ziva. She scolded me more than an hour for that. The funny part is even Mahi bhai got scolded when he supported me for that incident."

Did you know Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli’s wife, Anushka Sharma were classmates in school? In a media interaction, Anushka had spoken about her bond with Sakshi and praised Mahi for knowing how to treat his woman. She was quoted as saying, “I'm friends with Dhoni's wife Sakshi and I love the way he treats her and protects her. They look so cute together and I adore that MSD knows how to treat his woman. Sakshi and I lived together in a very small town in Assam. When she told me where she lived, I said wow, I have lived here too! She said I went to this school, I said I went to this school too. And then I found a picture in which Sakshi is dressed as a fairy and I'm dressed in a ghaghara like my favourite idol Madhuri. Sakshi is extremely funny.” (Also Read: When Mahendra Singh Dhoni Was In Awe Of His Daughter, Ziva Dhoni Playing With Sushant Singh Rajput)

Before embracing fatherhood with the arrival of his daughter, Vamika, Virat Kohli had applied for paternity leaves, which were granted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). While it was a moment to rejoice for Virat and Anushka, this decision had received a mixed reaction from the Twitteratis. Some had questioned Virat’s decision to take paternity leaves and compared it with Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s decision of choosing not to do back in 2015 while leading India in a World Cup in Australia when his wife, Sakshi Singh Dhoni had given birth to their first child. Some had supported Virat and said that it is his personal decision to opt for paternity leaves.

In reference to the tweets, speaking of Mahendra Singh Dhoni prioritising his commitment to the Indian cricket team over being with his wife, Sakshi Singh Dhoni when she had given birth to their daughter, Ziva Singh Dhoni, the Captain Cool had once revealed if his daughter had changed him as a person, "I don't know whether it has changed me as a cricketer, as a person yes of course because daughters are very close to their fathers. In my case the problem is when she was born, I was not there, most of the time I was playing cricket, so everything bad somehow is thrown at me (to deal with)."

For the unversed, December 19, 2006, was a tragic day for Virat Kohli but it was also marked as a beginning of a journey to a successful cricket career.
