Virat Kohli Talks About His Californian Style Villa With Sukabumi Stone Pool And Circadian Lighting

In a recent interview, Virat Kohli talked about his Californian Konkan-style villa In Alibag, which boasts modern technologies amid the lap of nature.

Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli is one of the highest-paid cricketers in the world. The 35-year-old rarely gets any time, and that is why, like many celebrities, he too purchased a four-bedroom villa away from the hustle of the city. Virat chose Alibag as his holiday home, where he can rejuvenate amid the lap of nature.

Virat Kohli reveals why he chose Alibag as his holiday home

With pleasant weather, Alibag is quiet and clean and offers lavish and classy properties. In an interview with Architectural Digest, Virat revealed why he chose Alibag as his holiday home and said:

“Honestly, it’s the proximity to Mumbai. Here, we have a completely different world, a home away from the hustle and bustle of the city. With so much going on all the time, it’s nice to be away from the chaos, and Alibag allows us to do that.”

In the coastal region, Virat chose Avas Living, a gated community with villas which connect one to nature. Talking about Virat’s villa, it’s a 10,000 square feet plot, designed in a Californian Konkan style. With four bedrooms, the high ceilings with natural hardwood are the main attraction of the villa. The use of natural materials such as pristine stones, exotic Italian marbles, raw travertines, and Turkish limestones are other highlights of the architecture.

Virat Kohli’s Alibag villa features modern automation

The entire villa is well lit with natural light streaming through huge glass doors. The villa also features a rare Balinese sukabumi stone-clad temperature-controlled pool and jacuzzi. Integrated with modern technology, the villa also features circadian lighting, gas leak detectors, and advanced air and water filtration and many more. As per Virat the ‘home automation’ is his favourite feature.

Virat is one of the busiest cricketers, and besides cricket, he also owns a fashion label, Wrogn and a chain of restaurants under the name One8Commune. However, the handsome cricketer believes in a well-maintained balance in work life. Talking about the same, he said:

“My family is my top priority. I’m busy playing cricket, but I always want to come back home. When you have kids and the family grows, the will to be back home also increases. I think work is a part of life that one needs to balance, not the other way around. I want to spend time with my daughter. I don’t want to miss the growing years.’’
