In a recent conversation, Vivek Dahiya opened up about a horrific incident that happened with him and his wife, Divyanka Tripathi in Florence, for which they also couldn't find any help.
Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya are among the most lovable couples in the entertainment industry. They keep painting the town red with their mushy moments. The actor couple also loves traveling, and every now and then, they tease their fans with lovely glimpses from their vacations. Currently, they are in Europe, and until a few hours ago, they were seen enjoying every bit of their trip.
Moreover, Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya were seen dropping cool photos from their Europe vacation on their respective social media handles. However, on July 10, 2024, they faced a horrible situation as they were robbed of their passports, wallets, money, and shopping items in Florence. Now, Vivek opened up about the same incident in a conversation with the ETimes and talked in length about how such a thing happened to them. He explained:
“Everything about this trip has been incredible, except for this incident. We arrived in Florence yesterday and planned to stay for a day. We went to check out a property we liked for our stay and left all our belongings in a car parked outside. However, when we returned to get our stuff, we were shocked to find that the car had been broken into, and our passports, wallets, money, shopping, and all our valuable items were gone. Fortunately, they left behind some old clothes and food items.”

Soon after the robbery of their passports, wallets, and other valuable items worth Rs. 10 lakh, Divyanka and Vivek also reached out to the local police. Unfortunately, due to lack of evidence, the local police denied giving any help to them. Moreover, when they reported the same incident, the police station was also nearing its closing time. Thus, the couple found no help in a foreign land. He said:
“We tried contacting the local police, but they dismissed our case, saying that without CCTV cameras in that specific area, they can’t help us. They even felt there was no point in them visiting the location. The police station shuts at 6 pm, and after that, they can’t offer any assistance. We also tried reaching out to the embassy, but unfortunately, they had already closed for the day.”
Concluding the conversation, Vivek revealed that he and his wife, Divyanka are currently in a small town near Florence. He also thanked the hotel staff for being helpful towards them. However, they are hoping to get help from the Indian embassy for a safe return to their country in a couple of days. He added:
“We are in a small town near Florence. The hotel staff has been kind and helpful to us. But we are stuck without any cash and urgently need the embassy’s assistance. We require temporary passports and substantial help from the embassy to get back to India, as we have nothing with us.”

Meanwhile, Divyanka also updated her fans with insights from the same incident. She mentioned that she and her husband, Vivek Dahiya are currently hoping for some help from the embassy over there. Ahead of the post, she shared a video while the two of them were driving towards a wine estate in a luxurious car. Following this, Divyanka also showed how she was relaxing in a vintage cottage. However, it might have happened that soon after the same, they faced the nightmare.
We hope Divyanka and Vivek return to India safely.
