After years of their fight, Vivek Oberoi yet again took a dig at Salman Khan as he praised Shah Rukh Khan while receiving an award during the IIFA 2024.
Vivek Oberoi faced the brunt of his immature act when, out of love, he called the press and gave a statement against Salman Khan. Time and again, Vivek shared that it was a childish act, which he did after getting influenced, but Salman Khan never forgave him. In fact, when he apologised to the superstar in 2009 during an award show, he paid no heed. It seems like Vivek has not forgotten Salman's rudeness, and he took an indirect dig at him by praising Shah Rukh Khan during IIFA 2024.
Vivek Oberoi received an award during the recently held IIFA 2024 awards. After receiving the award and thanking, Vivek heaped praises on Shah Rukh. He called him man of hearts as he uses his fame and power to empower others. Shah Rukh was left blushing, and while Vivek didn't take any names, he indirectly reflected on how Salman never used his power and fame to lift up others but brought them down. Vivek said:
"Many people have fame and power but what's special you is that you use power to empower."

Vivek Oberoi has been through a lot over the years, thanks to his infamous public fight with Salman Khan over Aishwarya Rai. While the actor himself accepted that it was a rushed act on his part, Vivek faced a lot of hate from the industry people, especially Salman Khan, who made it a point not to forgive him. For the unversed, in the early 2000s, Aishwarya Rai broke up with Salman Khan and started dating Vivek Oberoi.
However, Salman wasn't happy about it, and things took an ugly turn when Vivek jumped in and held a press conference against bhai and called him out for abusing and threatening him and his then-ladylove, Aishwarya. Years later, Vivek Oberoi publicly apologised to Salman Khan during his performance at an award show, but the superstar never paid any heed to it.
Salman might be right on his part for not accepting Vivek's apology, but it left the latter tangled in an awkward situation as his father, Suresh Oberoi was also present there. Later, his apology was made into a joke during the Zee Cine Awards. It was filmmakers, Sajid Khan and Karan Johar, who took dig at Vivek Oberoi by enacting his sorry gesture towards Salman.
What do you think about Vivek's indirect dig at Salman?
