Indian weddings are no less than a big festival celebrated with utmost pomp. Indians believe in splurging it all during ghar ki shaadi. From Sabyasachi Mukherjee's lehenga to a grand wedding venue and a perfect photographer who could capture all the candid moments, these are the highlights of every wedding checklist. The modern Indian shaadi is now restricted to photos. Everyone wants to get their best moments captured so that they can post them on social media or frame them for generations to come, which has made the wedding photography industry boom.

With more and more photographers stacking high-end pieces of equipment to record the best moments on their DSLR cameras and perfectly trained teams (with graduation and post-graduation degrees) to be on their toes, wedding photography is no less than a film direction. Nowadays, more and more shots are planned, and it takes hours of post-production efforts. This is the prime reason why wedding photographers charge in lakhs. Still, some of them were treated badly at weddings, and they even were asked not to eat the shaadi ka khanna, which brewed the debate about right and wrong.

The internet stands divided on the photographer's concern

The video was posted a week ago, and it raised a huge discussion. Some users claimed that the photographers charge hefty amounts, somewhere in lakhs, while others suggested taking home food. Some even claimed that it was also 'acha khanna'. One user wrote, "Not involving photographers in family buffet becasue it’s their personal event but providing them good food separately is not disrespect. As we can see packed food is also good, please don’t create such expectations, you are at work and there are very less people who gets food at work so this is not a valid explanation "

Another user highlighted how the wedding food is around INR 1500 to 2000 commented, "I felt bad to see this but after seeing all the comments where the food cost 15k to 20k extra! That's not a small amount of money, either you give discount the same amount in your charge or pack your own food with you. From your side you think it's disrespect but on the other side they can spend 15k on other things."

What do you think about the wedding photographers' take on not giving shaadi ka khana? While it is a thing of courtesy, but then there are so many unsung heroes like the makeup team, who get the dulhan ready, they should also attend the wedding and eat the food, or the caterers and the waiters, who work hard to serve the food to every guest with a big smile on their face. We truly believe all jobs are respectable.
