I am getting married in late February next year. I am very confused as to what to wear on the wedding day. I have always followed latest trends since my teenage and I want something totally different and high on style quotient for my wedding. We have decided to go to the beaches of Andaman for our honeymoon. I am apprehensive to wear revealing and trendy attire at my wedding as I don’t know how my husband and in-laws would react. Please advice something in vogue, yet traditional.

First of all, you still have a few months on your hand. Get to know your husband and your in-laws better. Try to find the culture of their home, whether it’s modern or orthodox and try to adapt to their culture.

Secondly, if you want something trendy yet traditional for your wedding day then I’d suggest you better go to a boutique rather than buying ready-made attire. There you can discuss with your designer what all you require. There is very little scope of choice when it comes to off the shelf shopping for wedding trousseau. For the honeymoon, I’d say you can take a little liberty and can carry shorts, knickers, tank-tops, capris, tees, and floral dresses as these are perfect trendy beach wear. But make sure to keep your husband into the loop.
