Once in an old interview with Simi Garewal on her popular talk show, Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, the iconic superstar, Govinda had shared some memorable anecdotes from his life. From heaping praises on his mother, Nirmala Devi and pouring so much love and admiration on his wife, Sunita Ahuja, the superstar shared many unknown facts about his personal life. However, the one revelation that was inarguably the most beautiful and emotional moment in the entire interview was when Govinda revealed the reason why he wanted to become an actor.

When Simi Garewal asked Govinda to share the incident that had ignited an unparalleled thirst for success inside his heart during his struggling days in Mumbai, the latter shared it all. While recalling the same, Govinda shared how once he went to Khar railway station with his mother and because of the heavy crowd, even in the ladies' compartment, his mother couldn’t manage to get inside the train. So Govinda and his mother stood on the platform and waited for a train with a bit lesser crowd but couldn’t find one.

The incident that broke Govinda and changed him completely

Going further in his revelation Govinda added how five trains passed in front of them. Because of his mother’s old age, she could not get inside the train like the young ladies by pushing hard and pulling other passengers inside the train. It was a heartbreaking moment for Govinda to see his elderly mother not being able to get onto a train and sitting on the platform. The moment made him a bit emotional, and with wet eyes, Govinda ran straight to his uncle, who was working in the nearby location and asked him to give him some rupees to buy a first-class pass for his mother.

The pain of Govinda's mother motivated him to become Bollywood's superstar

With tears and rage in his eyes, Govinda admitted that his uncle immediately gave him the money so that he could buy a first-class pass for his mother. As soon as Govinda received the money from his uncle, he ran straight to his mother and took her into the first-class compartment. The actor admitted that it was that moment when he had decided to become an actor and got more focused on his work than ever before. Govinda admitted that after that incident, he had worked tirelessly to become a successful and financially sound actor in the film industry.
