Now, amidst the wedding rumours of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, a throwback interview has been doing rounds on the internet wherein the actress had mentioned that she feels her son would make a good husband.

Amidst all of the speculations, Neetu Kapoor and the late Rishi Kapoor's wedding card had gone viral on the internet. In an old interview with the Quint, Neetu Kapoor had revealed that Ranbir Kapoor has been her best friend and confidant and that she would talk to him for hours. The doting mother had even shared that she thinks her son would become a great husband one day when the time will come. She had said:
"I think he was my best friend then, my only confidant. I would talk my heart out to him, as to no one else. He changed then I think, suddenly became responsible, grown up. I felt he should know everything, for one, it would make him a good husband when the time came."
When Neetu Kapoor was further asked in the same interview what kind of girl should settle with Ranbir Kapoor, the loving mother had a perfect answer for that. The veteran actress, Neetu Kapoor had shared that Ranbir is a daal-chawal person and the girl who would settle with her son will love him for who he is not what he is. She had mentioned:
"Someone who will understand how simple he is. That he is a daal chawal sort of boy, that he is not very high maintenance and will not really appreciate having a high maintenance wife. He's more like me, quite un-Kapoor, unlike the image he has. The best girl for him will be someone who loves him for who he is, not what he is."
In an interview with ETimes, Neetu had talked about how she hopes to have an 'outstanding' bond with her to-be bahu, Alia Bhatt. She had even mentioned that she wants to have a relationship just like she had with her mother-in-law, Krishna Raj Kapoor. Calling Alia amazing, she had said:
"I hope I do when they get married and I want to. My relationship with my mother-in-law was outstanding. She loved me more than her son and I know it. We were friends and spoke about everything under the sun. In fact, I would complain about my husband to her (laughs!). We were very open. I hope I have the same equation with Alia because she is outstanding and amazing."
