Aanchal was born on October 24, 1979, in Chandigarh. She stepped into the world of fashion and pursued modelling when she was only 17 years old. In 1999, Aanchal had her fashion breakthrough when she bagged the winner’s trophy at the Gladrags Megamodel Contest. After this, she catapulted to fame in the modelling industry, even giving her the opportunity to represent India at the Miss Intercontinental pageant in Germany.
Aanchal was a popular name in the modelling world during the late 1990s and the early 2000s for her striking features and presence on the runway. It didn’t take her long to become a sought-after model for walking the ramp for renowned designers and endorsing premium brands.
Eventually, Aanchal ventured into showbiz as well. She took up work in music videos. In 2005, she made her first appearance as a background dancer in the film, Bluffmaster!. Later, she was also seen in Fashion in 2008.

Later, on July 4, 2013, the model-actor got hitched to the love of her life, Anupam Mittal in a lavish wedding, after dating each other for seven years. The couple now shares a beautiful bond and are proud parents to their daughter, Alyssa Mittal. They had their daughter in 2017.
After becoming a parent, Aanchal has not remained very active in appearing in runaway shows as a full-time model.
