For those who missed it, we must mention here that DeepVeer’s wedding invite consisted of two copies, one in English and the other in Hindi. In English, it could be read as, “With the blessings of our families, gives us immense joy in sharing that our wedding is set to take place on the 14th and 15th of November, 2018. We thank you for all the love you have showered upon us over the years and seek your blessings as we embark on this incredible journey of love, loyalty, friendship and togetherness. Lots of love, Deepika and Ranveer”.
Now, fans couldn’t help but rejoice on hearing the news of DeepVeer’s wedding confirmation. We all know that the news of their wedding date was floating around and it was earlier reported that it would be held on November 10, 2018. But now, it’s officially confirmed and is scheduled for November 14 and 15. Now, the recent reports have been rife that the real reason why Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh chose November 15 as their wedding date is the fact that on the same date in 2013, five years ago, Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela got released. Their wedding date marks the fifth anniversary of their first movie together on the sets of which Deepika and Ranveer started dating. A source has revealed to a media portal that the choice of two dates is due to the fact that there would be two weddings- one as per South Indian rituals owing to Deepika’s ancestral roots and the other, as per North Indian rituals (Sindhi) because of Ranveer’s.
Even before their wedding, reports have been floating in about DeepVeer’s honeymoon plans and according to a media house, “The couple will head for a brief honeymoon before Ranveer dives into the promotions of Simmba which opens on December 28”. Also, another reason for fans to rejoice is the report that Deepika and Ranveer would host two receptions in India, one for their industry friends in Mumbai and the second in Bangalore for relatives and families. According to MissMalini, “Both Ranveer and Deepika have been quite busy as the wedding dates are arriving. While Ranveer is working day and night to wrap up the schedule of his film, Simmba, Deepika, on the other hand, is paying attention to every minute wedding detail. While the couple has announced their wedding dates, the duo will be hosting a grand reception in Mumbai on the November 30th and the 1st”.
The report further claimed, “While on the 30th guests will be invited for a Bollywood party, the reception will take place on the 1st. DeepVeer have chosen Grand Hyatt, Mumbai as the venue for their reception and around 3000 guests are expected at the grand celebration”.
Deepika and Ranveer have kept the details of their wedding venue totally under the wraps. However, a recent report in Filmfare suggested that the venue would be Lake Como, Italy. The report could be read as, “Both Ranveer and Deepika were keen on having a destination wedding in Italy and they have finalised Lake Como as their wedding destination. The place is dotted with exquisite villas along the shoreline, which is why both of them decided to wed in this beautiful place”.
