Yami Gautam posted a picture, flaunting her newly bridal glow and wearing a traditional outfit. Yami's Benarasi saree look was accentuated with a traditional addition to her pair of earrings.
For us, it is the sheer happiness and love pouring from the couples' hearts that make the weddings a heartwarming celebration. Such was the wedding of Vicky Donor fame, Yami Gautam and Uri: The Surgical Strike fame director, Aditya Dhar. Reportedly, Yami and Aditya had met each other during the shoot of Uri: The Surgical Strike and love blossomed between the couple. The lovebirds had kept their relationship under wraps until June 4, 2021, when Yami and Aditya had announced their wedding on social media.

For the unversed, Aditya Dhar is a writer, director and lyricist, who had made his directorial debut with the 2019 film, Uri: The Surgical Strike. Aditya had worked as a lyricist in films like Kabul Express, Haal-e-Dil, One Two Three and Daddy Cool, and as a writer in Aakrosh and Tezz. Aditya and Yami Gautam never indulged in PDA, which is why their relationship was a secret for so many years and even the team of Uri was not aware of their relationship.
It was on June 4, 2021, when Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar had announced their wedding and since then, she has been giving glimpses of the ceremonies. Yami, being a Himachali bride, followed the rituals wholeheartedly and sported traditional jewellery, accentuating her bridal look. A few hours ago, Yami posted a picture, flaunting her newly bridal glow and wearing a traditional outfit. Yami captioned the picture as "Rind posh maal gindane draaye lo lo. Let's welcome the spring season."
Yami Gautam donned a red Benarasi saree featuring intricate motifs and a thick zari border. Yami's post-wedding look was accentuated with a mangalsutra, layered necklace, bindi, sindoor and chooda but it was the traditional addition to her pair of earrings that caught our attention. Yami wore aatheru, which is made of three ornamental elements, the dejhoor, the athoor and atah, and is traditionally worn by married Kashmiri women. Athoor, a small piece of gold attached to the lower end of dejhoor, is traditionally given by in-laws.

Yami Gautam's first post-wedding look was shared by her wedding planner, Gitesh Sharma in which she sported the same piece of jewellery with her earrings. Yami opted for a green silk saree paired with minimal jewellery including her mangalsutra, earrings and chooda. Yami also wore aatheru with her pair of earrings. Traditionally, some equate aatheru to mangalsutra as it is worn only by married women.
To announce their wedding, Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar had posted a picture from their wedding ceremony with the caption, "In your light, I learn to love – Rumi. With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony today. Being very private people, we celebrated this joyous occasion with our immediate family.
