Bollywood singer and actor, Honey Singh has landed into trouble again, as his wife, Shalini Singh, has filed a domestic violence case against him. For the uninitiated, the couple has known each other for seventeen years. The duo were childhood sweethearts, and Honey Singh had tied the knot with Shalini Singh on January 23, 2011.
On January 23, 2021, Honey and Shalini had completed ten years of marital bliss. Honey had shared a cutesy post for his wife, Shalini, on his IG handle. Sharing a picture with Shalini, the rapper had written, "It’s our @sheenz_t. Happy 10th Marriage Anniversary."

In a shocking turn of events, Honey Singh's wife, Shalini, has filed a plea in Delhi's Tis Hazari court against the singer. According to a report in India Today, Shalini accused her husband of domestic violence, sexual violence, mental harassment and financial fraud. The case was filed before Ms Tania Singh, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of the Tis Hazari Court.

The court has issued a notice to Honey Singh and has asked him to file his reply by August 28, 2021. It has also passed interim orders favouring Shalini, which has restrained Honey from disposing of his jointly-owned property.
Earlier, in an interview with Republic, Yo Yo Honey Singh had talked about his wife and had said, "My wife and I have known each other for 17 years. She has been supportive throughout my bad phase when even my family didn’t know how to handle the situation. She is a brave lady, and because of her, many things in my life have become splendid. She is a good critic as well. She does not always praise my songs."
