However, they were not spotted together in the past few months, and media reports hinted that the couple's paradise was in trouble. Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma are carefully trying to avoid the insistent media glares on their personal life. But, a recent report by ABP News revealed that the couple attended their final divorce hearing in Bandra Family Court on February 20, 2025. The hearing began around 11 in the morning when the court ordered the couple to attend a counselling session in a last attempt to save their bond. After the 45-minute session, Yuzvendra and Dhanashree reaffirmed their decision to part ways with mutual consent.
The media report further revealed that the couple had lived separately for over 18 months. At the same time, they cited 'compatibility issues' as the primary reason behind seeking a divorce in court. Later, the final decision on the divorce was announced at around 4:30 in the Bandra Family Court. But neither Yuzvendra nor Dhanashree confirmed the rumours.
Dhanashree Verma has not made any official statement about her divorce rumours. But, a few hours ago, she re-shared a cryptic post on her Instagram handle that raised eyebrows. It explains how a person should leave their worries to God, who, in turn, will make everything good for that person. Netizens believe that the post was about her separation rumours. It read:
"From Stressed To Blessed – Isn't it amazing how God can turn our worries and trials into blessings? If you're stressing about something today, know that you have a choice. You can either keep worrying, or you can surrender it all to God and choose to pray about everything. There is power in having faith that God can work all things together for your good."
Yuzvendra Chahal rose to fame with his impeccable performance as a leg-spinner bowler in the Indian cricket team. On the other hand, Dhanashree Verma is a well-known dance choreographer, dentist and YouTuber. They met when Yuzvendra began learning dance from her online during the lockdown, and their bond blossomed into love soon after. The couple tied the knot in December 2020 in an intimate ceremony in Gurugram. However, their divorce rumours began swirling towards the end of 2024.
