Bollywood’s beloved Sinha clan will take over the sets of The Great Indian Kapil Show, and fans will get to enjoy an evening of heartwarming stories, candid confessions, and of course, lots of playful banter. A few snippets from the upcoming episode have already left us in splits at the repartee among Kapil Sharma’s guests, featuring veteran actor, Shatrughan Sinha and his family, including Poonam Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha, and her husband Zaheer Iqbal, marking Sonakshi and Zaheer's first appearance on a show as a married couple on a show.
The latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show aired on Netflix on November 16, 2024, featured Navjot Singh Sidhu, Harbhajan Singh and their respective wives. The promo for this week’s 'Shaadi-special' episode is out, and it looks quite entertaining.
The promo begins with a grand entry by Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, where the Dabangg actress playfully advises audiences to attend Kapil’s show and calls him ‘bhaiya’ to get married one day. She then introduces Zaheer to Kapil, quipping:
"Jisko bhi shaadi karni hai Kapil ke show par jao or usko bhaiya bulana shuru karo… “Bhaiya, meet my saiyaan.”
The promo then shifts the spotlight to Shatrughan Sinha, who appears on the stage with his iconic ‘Khamosh!’ The veteran legend will share some humorous anecdotes about his colleagues and memorable events.
At Kapil’s Shaadi-special episode, Sonakshi and Zaheer bring their newlywed charm, while Shatrughan Sinha leaves viewers in splits with his timeless humour. In the promo, Zaheer Iqbal has the audience in splits with his candid reactions to Shatrughan’s hilarious stories. As Shatrughan recalls a piece of advice given by veteran actor, Dharmendra, he says:
“Since you’re from the film industry and have a huge fan following, always remember to be a ‘one-woman man... at a time.’”
Shatrughan’s cheeky punchline leaves the audience in splits, and his damad, Zaheer completely off guard. Unable to hold back, Zaheer quips:
“I thought it was a family episode. What’s happening?”
Archana Puran Singh asks Poonam Sinha whether Shatrughan has ever apologised to her in their decades-long marital bliss. To this, Poonam hilariously replies, “Ye kabhi sorry bole? God, that will be the day!”. The new couple, Sonakshi and Zaheed double over at their mom and sasu maa’s candid response.

Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with her long-time beau, Zaheer Iqbal in June 2024, in an inter-faith marriage. At the initial reaction to their wedding clicks and videos, fans speculated that Shatrughan Sinha was ‘unhappy’ at the wedding. However, the rumours were soon settled when the actor was seen posing for photos with his son-in-law. Now, with the latest episode of TGIKS, it’s become more clear that the duo shares a great bond.
On her work front, Sonakshi Sinha was last seen in a horror-comedy film. Kakuda, which premiered on July 12, 2024. She will soon return with the second season of the web series, Dahaad. She, Zaheer and the Sinha clan will be seen on the upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show which will air on November 22, 2024.
