Cut the chase to 2025, Zaheer and the girl fan had an epic reunion.
For the unversed, during the Ind Vs Pak match 20 years ago, the camera caught the female fan giving a flying kiss to Zaheer, and he gave a happy reply with a flying kiss back. Yuvraj Singh could not stop teasing him, and even Virender Sehwag, who was on the field, could not hide his grin. The sweetest love story was revived in 2025 as Zaheer joined Lucknow Super Giants, and the fans came to greet him. As seen in the clip, the cricketer gets out of the car, enters a hotel and applies tilak.
The loyal fan who proposed to Zaheer in 2005 stood with the same "I love you" placard. This time, the cricketer did not return his flying kiss back to the fan, but she was seen blushing as Zaheer looked at the placard and posed in front of the cameras.

Zaheer has replaced Gautam Gambhir as the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants. Gambhir had to part ways with LSG to be with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the IPL 2024. The former cricketer has been the head coach of the Indian cricket team and gave KKR their third winning title in 2024. Zaheer would now be the bowling mentor for the Lucknow Super Giants and in a press event shared:
"If I am there in the set-up, does the team need another bowling coach?"
