Zeenat Aman recalled how she introduced Nazia Hasan to Feroz Khan that ultimately led to the creation of their iconic song, 'Aap Jaisa Koi'.
Zeenat Aman has been one such evergreen icon, who has been enjoying the second innings of her life like no other. From making her social media debut at the age of 72, to reawakening her impeccable fashion choices and making her comeback on the silver screen, the diva has been ruling everywhere. Speaking about Zeenat’s love for social media, she has been using the platform extensively to interact with her fans. From throwback pictures, fond anecdotes to glimpses of her makeover, Zeenat has kept her audience on their toes with her social media presence. And something similar happened yet again.
Taking to her IG handle, Zeenat Aman’s latest social media post was a dedication to the iconic pop singer of the ‘80s, Nazia Hasan. The legendary actress talked about her first meeting with a young Nazia at her hotel room in London, along with her mother, Muniza and brother, Zoheb. Zeenat mentioned being drawn to the family of three soon after, over their past memories from Pakistan. Moreover, after she learned that both Nazia and Zoheb were passionate about music and was keen on pursuing it, Zeenat ended up listenting to a melody from the young girl. Recalling how that was the first time that she heard Nazia Hasan’s voice, Zeenat said:
“The lady was elegant. Her name was Muniza. And with her were her two teenage children. A quiet girl named Nazia and a boy named Zoheb. I hadn’t planned to entertain them for long but soon found myself drawn into deep dialogue with Muniza. They were a charming and cultured family of Pakistani origin, and to my surprise I found myself inviting them to join me in my suite. That night I learned that Nazia and Zoheb were pursuing music, and I even enjoyed a brief demo of young Nazia’s pipes.”

Moving forth in her recollection, Zeenat Aman remarked that it was she who then recommended Nazia Hasan to Feroz Khan. For the unversed, the talented singer lent her voice to the iconic song, Aap Jaisa Koi in Zeenat and Feroz’s classic film, Qurbani, that got released in 1980. Expressing how Feroz Khan was completely amazed with Nazia’s vocals, Zeenat wrote:
“I subsequently introduced her to Feroz Khan, with whom I was starting work on an ambitious project. You can picture the rest… Feroz was blown away by Nazia’s voice, and under the guidance of music composer Biddu, 15-year-old Nazia Hassan went on to record the mega-hit ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’.”
Earlier, in one of her social media posts, Zeenat Aman recalled a personal anecdote, as she talked about her mother, Scinda Heinz. The actress revealed that her mother left her job and career entirely, and instead became the former’s manager in the showbiz. Moreover, Zeenat talked about a time when her dating life broke her mother’s heart. From her tumultuous relationship with Sanjay Khan to a toxic marriage with Mazhar Khan, Zeenat’s mom, Scinda was never left at peace. However, it was only after the birth of her grandsons that her broken heart got mended.

Previously, through one of her posts on social media, Zeenat Aman opened up about her marriage with Mazhar Khan. She remembered eloping with him and finally getting married in a discreet ceremony in Singapore. In her words:
“My own wedding to the father of my children was a discreet affair. We eloped, and got married in Singapore in a low key ceremony with just two witnesses. But reserved as I am, I can't deny the charm and madness of the "big Indian wedding"! The food, the music, the colours, the atmosphere of revelry - it's infectious."
