Veteran actress, Zeenat Aman has left the entire nation in awe of her beauty and acting prowess in the '70s. She was known as one of the sexiest actresses and ruled Bollywood for many years. While her professional life has seen a lot of achievements, her personal life wasn't a bed of roses. She has gone through a lot of emotional turmoil in her marriage with the late Mazhar Khan.
Zeenat's personal life had made headlines back in the days. It was in the year 1985 when Zeenat Aman had married the late actor, Mazhar Khan. The couple had two sons, Azaan Khan and Zahaan Khan. However, after going through a lot of emotional turmoil, Zeenat had parted ways from Mazhar just before his death in 1998.

In 1999, Zeenat had appeared on Simi Garewal's show, Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, wherein she had talked about her troubled marriage in detail. However, it was one aspect of her relationship that had left everyone teary-eyed. Zeenat had talked about her husband, Mazhar's death and how his family didn't allow her to even attend his last rites. She had said:
"Simi I wasn’t prepared for him to die. I have fought way too hard for him to live. I really believed he would get the kidney, I believed he would live. So his death was. And the worst blow was they would not allow me to pay my last respects. His mother and his sister."
Zeenat had further added that Mazhar's family was trying to punish her for leaving him. She had also stated that they had anger and hatred for her. Zeenat was quoted as saying:
"They were trying to punish me for leaving him. It was like a bad Felini film. Because it was somebody I had given so many years of my life to. He was the father of my children and I asked if I can… I was told, ‘No, you cannot come. You cannot come to pay your last respects.’ There was so much anger and bitterness and hatred."
In the same interview, Zeenat had also talked about the reason for marrying Mazhar. She had revealed that she wanted to create her own family as her biological was ticking. She had said:
"My biological clock was ticking and I wanted to be a mother. I wanted to raise a family and now I think Mazhar just happened to be there at the right time."
Well, the glam queen, Zeenat Aman had gone through a lot in her troubled marriage!
