Zomato's founder, Deepinder Goyal first time talked about how he met his second wife, Grecia, who is a Mexican but settled in India after their marriage.
Zomato's founder, Deepinder Goyal, is on a roll that has people in awe of his professional and personal life. Recently, he appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show, with business icons, Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murthy. While Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murthy shared the secret of their happily ever after for the past 47 years, Deepinder shared how he met his second wife, Grecia Munoz.
The host of the show, Kapil, asked Deepinder how he met his wife, Grecia Monoz, who is from Mexico. With a cutesy smile, Deepinder revealed that when he met his now-wife, he had been single for a long time, and his friends were trying to set him up on dates and would advise him not to settle down.
However, when Grecia first landed in Delhi, a friend of the Zomato founder called him and straight away asked him to meet her. He even warned Deepinder that he would end up getting married to her. Deepinder was quoted as saying:
"I was single for the longest time. My friends would set me up on dates and always advised me not to settle down. When Grecia first came to Delhi, a friend called me and said, 'There's a girl here you should meet. I agreed, and he said, 'Make sure to meet her; you'll end up marrying her.' It was his foresight. He had always told me not to get serious, but this time he said, 'You have to marry if you find a girl like her.' I was intrigued to meet her, and then…"
There is no greater joy than finding a partner with whom you share similar interests. Deepinder's wife, Grecia, is a foodie. When Kapil asked if she enjoyed Punjabi food, her eyes lit up, and she expressed her love for Indian food. When Archana asked about her favourite dish, Greciz immediately replied, "Chole Bhature".
Sudha Murthy, who had earlier joked that chole bhature was unhealthy, laughed off the joke. Kapil teased her by saying, "See, she came all the way from Mexico and loves chole bhature." To this, Sudha Murthy quipped:
"Despite eating chole bhature, she's still slim!"
A key to a happy marriage is keeping the love alive, and Deepinder knows this perfectly. However, whenever he tries to create a flirty message for his wife, Grecia, he sends it to Zomato's marketing head to use as a notification for the customers. Deepinder further added that when he briefed his team to make a personal relationship with the customer, they actually took it seriously.
