Veteran actress, Zeenat Aman proved her ageless beauty as she turned the showstopper at Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai. Even at the age of 71, Zeenat can undoubtedly give a run to any B-town actress with her fashion statements. For the unversed, the iconic actress made her acting debut with the film, Hare Ram Hare Krishna in 1971. Moreover, at the mere age of 19 in 1970, she also became the first Indian to win the Miss Asia Pacific pageant.
On March 11, 2023, the official IG page of Lakme Fashion Week shared glimpses from Zeenat Aman's ramp walk at the age of 71. The yesteryear actress turned muse for the designer, Shahin Mannan and indeed walked the ramp confidently. After the event, she also spoke about her bold choice of walking on the ramp. In a conversation with News18, she mentioned that life has come full circle for her as she began her career as a model. She said:
“I started my career as a model, and over the years have walked on many runways. It’s exciting to be doing so again, while representing older women. Some would say I’ve come full circle, and that fits in beautifully with Shahin’s concept. I enjoy Shahin’s quirky designs, and had faith that she would create a striking look for me.”

For her ramp walk, Zeenat opted for a black co-ord set, including a red abstract-printed blazer along with black pants. However, she kept her look minimal and went for blushed cheeks, nude lipstick and black sunglasses. She was also seen flaunting her grey hair gracefully, setting fashion goals for women of her age. Altogether, the actress looked no less than a beauty queen.
Zeenat has worked in many films throughout her career. However, it was her character 'Rupa' in the film, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, which had catered to huge criticisms at that time. On February 16, 2023, almost after 44 years, sharing an old picture from her 1978 film on her IG handle, the actress opened up about the same. In the monochrome picture taken from one of the stills of the film, she was seen flaunting her curves in a skirt and blouse.

Further, mentioning the ongoing controversy regarding her character in the film, Zeenat shared the accusations she had faced in the late 1970s regarding obscenity and sensuality. However, in her note, she mentioned that whatever was shown in the film, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, was all about the director's choice and the set wasn't a sensual space. Sharing that she was a director’s actor, and those looks were part of her job. Zeenat also said that Rupa’s sensuality was not the crux of the plot, but a part of it. She also explained that every move was choreographed, rehearsed and performed in front of dozens of crew members.
