Over the years, we have seen many iconic on-screen couples in the Hindi film industry, but the hit-jodi of the '90s, Karisma Kapoor and Govinda, still hold a separate fanbase. The duo had worked together in many hit films and was loved by millions for their adorable chemistry on the big screen. According to reports, Karisma Kapoor had struggled a lot in her early years in the Indian film industry. At the beginning of her acting career, she had accepted all sorts of roles just to get some experience in her kitty. That was when she had formed a partnership with Govinda that had turned her fortune forever. Govinda and Karisma had worked together in 11 films, out of which most were hits at the box office.
However, after making a name for herself in the industry, Karisma was still not regarded as an A-list actress like her counterparts Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla and others. After which, she had reportedly decided to work with the Khans, who were emerging strongly in the industry, ditching her long coalition with Govinda.

In 1996, Karisma Kapoor had got the chance to work opposite Aamir Khan in the film, Raja Hindustani, and the film had become a blockbuster. The iconic film had changed Karisma's status from being a top actress to an A-list actress in the film industry, and since then, there was no looking back for her.
After which, she had shared screen space with Salman Khan in Judwa, which was another hit film. However, Karisma's name was engraved as an iconic actress after she had worked with Yash Chopra in his film, Dil To Pagal Hai, opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur had tied the knot in a grand ceremony on September 29, 2003. The couple had welcomed two beautiful children, Samaira and Kiaan, in their lives, however, sadly, Karisma and Sunjay's marriage didn't last long, and they had got separated in 2010.
After a lot of mudslinging and accusations made in public, Karisma and Sunjay were granted a divorce in 2016, with Karisma having custody of her children. Fast forward to today, everything is fine and sound in Karisma's personal and professional lives.
