Well, if you still wonder, who Ira Khan is? Ira is Aamir Khan’s daughter with his first wife, Reena Datta. Talking about her profession, in 2019, Ira had made her directorial debut with a theatre production, Euripides' Medea. The play was an adaptation of Euripides' Greek tragedy, Medea and had also starred her brother, Junaid Khan and actress, Hazel Keech. Announcing the same on her IG handle, Ira had written, “Euripiedes' Medea. My first play. My first properly professional endeavour. I can't wait for everyone to watch it! Come and hopefully you will walk out feeling what only a great work of storytelling can make you feel.” Ira Khan is one star-kid, who is using her power to influence in the right direction.
As the weather conditions are severe in Maharashtra and also there is COVID-19, Ira decided to get in touch with her fans and held a Q&A session on her IG handle. Amidst her Q&A session, one of the users asked her if she is Aamir Khan’s son and Ira gave a befitting reply. The user wrote, “Aapto Ameer Khan sir ki son ho na.” Ira gave a classy reply to the user, questioning the gendered noun used. She replied, "I'm his daughter. But what even are these gendered nouns!?"
Ira Khan never shies away from speaking her mind. On Mental Health Day 2020, which is observed on October 10 every year, Ira Khan had shared her journey with depression from the past four years. Ira had captioned the video as “A lot has been going on, a lot of people have a lot to say. Things are really confusing and stressful and simple and okay but not okay and... life all together. There's no way to say it all in one go. But I'd like to think I've figured some stuff out, or at least figured out how to make it slightly more understandable. About mental health and mental ill-health. So come with me on this journey... in my awkward, quirky, sometimes-baby-voice-y, as-honest-as-I-can-be... way. Let's start a conversation. Happy World Mental Health Day. #worldmentalhealthday #mentalhealth #depression #journey #letsstartaconversation.”

Speaking about her battle with clinical depression from the past four years, Ira Khan had begun her video by saying, "Hi, I'm depressed. I have been for more than four years now. I've been to a doctor and I'm clinically depressed. I'm doing much better now. For over a year now, I wanted to do something for mental health, but I wasn't sure what to do. I have decided to take you on a journey - my journey - and see what happens. Hopefully, we'll get to know ourselves and understand mental illness slightly better. I've thought of so many things to say. What should I say? Why am I doing this?" Ira had concluded with "Let's start from where I started. What do I have to be depressed about? Who am I to be depressed? I have everything, right?"
