Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan had walked down the aisle with film producer and actress, Reena Dutta in the year 1986. However, after a few years in 2002, the two had a silent divorce and had parted their ways forever. Together, the couple has two kids, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan.
According to a report in the Indian Express, Junaid Khan resumed the shooting of his debut film, Maharaja after the Maharashtra government eased lockdown restrictions a bit more and entered into level-5 of unlock. Junaid's film is one of the few films that have resumed their shooting after the government's latest order. On June 6, 2021, over 100-plus cast and crew members of the film had gone through the RT-PCR test, and out of them, only 25 junior artists were allowed on the sets. Also, some key members of the production department, main cast and crew of the film were allowed. Top of it, the producers are strictly advised to keep their on-set cast and crew team at the bare minimum.
Talking about Junaid Khan's debut film, Maharaja, it is a period film based on the famous and nerve-shattering 1862 trial, a.k.a., Maharaj Libel Case in the Bombay Court in British India. The case was against the publisher of the newspaper, Satyaprakash Nanabhai Rustomji Ranina, and its writer and journalist, Karsandas Mulji.

The case was filed by some Hindu religious groups against Karsandas Mulji, after he published an article accusing them of having sexual liaisons with their women followers. Junaid Khan is portraying the fearless journalist, Karsandas Mulji in the film, and there's no doubt that to bring such a character alive on the big-screen, he surely needs to have some serious acting skills. The film is directed by Siddharth Malhotra, who has films like Hichki and We Are Family to his name. Besides Junaid Khan, the film stars exceptional actors like Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari Wagh, and Shalini Pandey in lead roles.
According to multiple reports, Junaid Khan lost a lot of weight for his debut role in Maharaja. A glimpse of what we had already seen on February 15, 2021, when his sister, Ira Khan had shared a picture with him. In the picture, Junaid's weight loss transformation was easily visible, and the youngster had looked completely different in his cool short hair look and fit physique.
Ira had penned a sweet note for her doting brother along with the picture, and it could be read as "Junnuu! This wasn't his first play or his first show or our first play together but.. today is his first day! Of shoot. And I love this picture. He's been acting for a few years now but it's still new for me. He even acted my play so I should be over it... but I've been his younger sister longer than any of the other things."
