Speaking about Aaradhya’s name and its meaning, Aishwarya shared in an interview, “Aaradhya means ‘one who is worthy of worship’. It was a name both Abhishek and I had always considered, but we threw it open to our extended family.” Abhishek shared that Aaradhya is free to choose her career and they will be proud of her regardless of what she becomes, “As a parent you want the best for your child. What she decides to do is completely her choice. We will never weigh down on her, that this is what we expect you to do. We would be proud of her regardless of what she becomes.”
Elaborating on how they keep their everyday routine normal for Aaradhya, Aishwarya stated, “I have been a very normal mother with her throughout. I have gone with her everywhere. I go to her school every day. I have done normal things with her like taken her to the park, visited temples, gone to the supermarket etc., so that she understands what ‘normal normal’ is and what social excitement is.”
Abhishek commented on the same, “Aaradhya is a very sweet kid but I don’t think she understands that bit. She knows we are actors, who appear in films and on TV. She also realises that her dadi ma goes to the Parliament. But I don’t think she understands the concept of, ‘oh, my parents and grandparents are really famous people’. We have tried to keep things as normal as possible for her. Her mother teaches her all of that. Aishwarya is very good at keeping Aaradhya grounded.”
How Aaradhya became her priority and everything else came secondary, Aishwarya was quoted as saying, “It's something I've grown up with. From the time I was 18, I've been juggling with many responsibilities. My day begins at 5.30 am. It has been that way from the time I remember. Of course, after Aaradhya my priorities have changed completely. She comes first, everything else is secondary.” (Also Read: Aaradhya Bachchan And Azad Rao Khan Perform As Sita And Ram At The Dussehra Assembly, Video Inside)
