The path of love is never easy, it has its own set of ups and downs and one has to strive hard to make a relationship work. And when it is about a celeb’s life, then it is always under constant scrutiny and whatever they do becomes a piece of news. Shweta Tiwari is one such actress, whose personal life has always garnered a lot of negative attention. From calling off an abusive marriage with Raja Chaudhary to the ongoing ugly war against husband, Abhinav Kohli, Shweta has seen it all. After breaking her marriage with Raja Chaudhary, Shweta had given marriage another chance and had tied the knot with actor, Abhinav Kohli on July 13, 2013. It was in 2019 when Shweta had lodged a police complaint against him and had accused him of domestic violence. Reports about Abhinav harassing Shweta’s daughter, Palak Tiwari had also surfaced. Shweta had kept everything under the wraps till Abhinav had come and had begun washing their dirty linen in public. From blaming Shweta of weaving false stories against him to separating him from his son, Reyansh, Abhinav had left no stone unturned to tarnish Shweta’s reputation.

On August 6, 2020, Abhinav Kohli took to his IG handle and shared a picture with son, Reyansh Kohli. Along with the picture, he wrote how much he misses his son and blamed Shweta for not letting him meet Reyansh. His note can be read as “It’s been 83 really long days and I haven’t been able to even see you. I miss talking to you. I miss our drives. I miss you in my GODEE. Sadness grows day by day. I don’t know how long it will take before I can hug you. Our law has become such that a son can be snatched away from his father by the mother. And the father has to pray to the court just to meet his son. The police is helpless. This law is so cruel. It’s my aim that by the time you grow up the Law for a child is such that no mother can keep the child away from his father even for a single day. So that you being a male never have to suffer the separation from your child. And this Law of punishment to an innocent God like child of separation from his father, for no fault of his is abolished.”
Talking about the allegations made by Abhinav Kohli, in a chat with TellyChakkar, he had revealed that he hasn’t talked to his son for a month and Shweta had blocked him from WhatsApp and he was using his social media handle to share his side of the story. In his words, “It has been a month that I haven’t seen my son’s face. I am longing to see him and hear his voice calling me ‘papa’. Shweta has also blocked me from WhatsApp since a month. I’ve received a lot of hate from people, some of them also called me a person with mental disorder and psychological complications which has affected me a lot. My posts on social media is to give out my side of the story.” (Don't Miss: Dipika Kakar's 'Nanad', Saba Pampers Her As She Makes Special 'Biryani' For Her Birthday Lunch)
However, Shweta has been maintaining her silence and has not released any statement yet. Taking to her IG handle on July 9, 2020, Shweta had posted two smiling pictures of herself and it was her caption that had looked like indirectly targeting the allegations made by her estranged husband, Abhinav. Sharing the pictures, she had mentioned that it is not easy to pull her down. She had written, “You Can Never Pull Her Down #GuneetSikka.” Shweta’s daughter, Palak Tiwari too had come out in her mother’s support, sharing her post on her IG stories, she had written, “What my queen here said” atop it.

Last year, during a press conference for Mere Dad Ki Dulhan, Shweta was asked to give a message for women, who are facing domestic violence in their marriage. To this, the actress had stated that there are a lot of people who tell her, "Achha? Dobara bhi problem? Aisa ho nahi sakta. Aisa kyu nahi ho sakta? At least I have the guts that if I faced a problem again, I could speak up about my problems without any fear whatsoever. What others think of me is none of my concern. I will only do what is right for my child and my personal growth." (Also Read: Rana Daggubati Shares A Picture With Soon-To-Be-Missus, Miheeka Bajaj From Their Haldi Ceremony)
