Shweta Tiwari has won million hearts with her enchanting smile. While Shweta Tiwari’s on-screen role as Prerna in Kasauti Zindagii Kay had given inspiration to many lovers, her off-screen life was not a bed of roses. When Shweta portrayed the role of a happy lover, her personal life with her ex-husband, Raja Chaudhary, was undergoing a huge turmoil. Shweta had tried her best to keep up with an abusive husband but nothing had worked out and she had later called it quits with him. On July 13, 2013, Shweta had given marriage another chance and had tied the knot with actor, Abhinav Kohli. In 2019, rumour mills were abuzz about trouble in Shweta and Abhinav’s paradise and Shweta had filed domestic violence against him.
Abhinav while talking to ETimes has opened up about the domestic violence case and stated that there has never been a case filed against him. Talking about the same, he shared, “I totally stand by what I said. 11th August 2019 ko joh case file hua tha woh Shweta ne nahi file kiya tha and nor has she filed any complaint ever against me. So whatever our complaint is, the DCP of our zone has made a video and is on the internet.” Meanwhile, Abhinav shared a screenshot of his WhatsApp conversation with wife, Shweta from April 2020. In the screenshot, Shweta’s name has been saved as ‘Mrs. Cuddles Kohli’ and the conversation was around the daily discussions of a husband and wife. Abhinav captioned the screenshots as “This is our conversation on the 12th April 2020. Lavu/Lovu is Palak Tiwari. I am a victim of victim card.”
Abhinav Kohli also shared screenshots of a post shared by Shweta Tiwari’s daughter, Palak Tiwari stating that her step-father, Abhinav has never physically molested her or touched her inappropriately. Palak deleted the post later which is now shared by Abhinav. Abhinav captioned the screenshot as “Lovu why would you delete this post from your Instagram?” (Also Read: Sanaya Irani Opens Up On Her Beach Wedding With Husband, Mohit Sehgal)

On June 11, 2020, we had given you a shocking update on Shweta and Abhinav's married life and had shared a report from TellyChakkar, wherein, the latter had confirmed that they are living together and are not separated. However, Shweta has denied all such claims. In an interview with SpotboyE, Shweta denied all such claims and had said, "Aaj kal koi kuch bhi bol de, woh chapp jaata hai. And this shows the capacity of lying." Later, when SpotboyE had contacted Abhinav, he refused to talk and simply said that he doesn't want to comment on anything.
Last year, during a press conference for Mere Dad Ki Dulhan, Shweta was asked to give a message for women, who are facing domestic violence in their marriage. To this, the actress had stated that there are a lot of people who tell her, "Achha? Dobara bhi problem? Aisa ho nahi sakta. Aisa kyu nahi ho sakta? At least I have the guts that if I faced a problem again, I could speak up about my problems without any fear whatsoever. What others think of me is none of my concern. I will only do what is right for my child and my personal growth." (Also Read: Mohena Kumari Singh And Her Family Is Back From The Hospital, But Are Still COVID-19 Positive)
